Brooke’s film credits include Ned Kelly, where she played Orlando Bloom’s girlfriend, and Till Human Voices Wake Us.

Brooke has appeared in numerous television shows including children’s show Pirate Islands, with guest roles in White Collar Blue; McLeod’s Daughters; All Saints; Home & Away, and Misery Guts.

Born in Orange County, California, Brooke and her family moved to Brisbane when she was still young. The eldest of four children, Brooke balanced her acting with her schoolwork until she graduated last year.

During a recent trip to the States, Brooke learnt of The Secret Life of Us auditions. Her first audition for the drama was from Fox Studio in Los Angeles where she was faced with the difficult task of auditioning to readers with American accents.

A second audition was conducted at home in Melbourne and the rest is history.

The timing couldn’t have been better as Brooke was ready to settle down. She had recently purchased a car and is now renting an apartment in Melbourne with her boyfriend. While her favourite pastime once included shopping for clothes, more often than not, she finds herself scouring homeware shops to decorate her new life.

“Bree is quite a likeable character. She’s very honest and open about her views on life. At the same time, she can be easily excited and can get totally carried away in unnecessary detail,” says Brooke.
