Executive Producers: Hal McElroy, Ric Pellizzeri, Gus Howard Aired: 1994–2006 Blue Heelers is about country cops living and working in a close-knit rural community. The young team of police are the focus of the stories, the impact of events on each of them and their loved ones are the heart of the series. We watch their successes and their failures and learn to grow with them. The core of the Mt Thomas Police is Sergeant Tom Croydon, simply known around the station as Boss. He has been on the job for twenty five years and has seen it all. He is joined by officers Wayne Patterson, Nick Shultz, PJ Hasham and Maggie Doyle, the newest member fresh out of the Academy. Wayne's wife Roz and local pub owner Chris Riley complement the team along with other locals. They are a bunch of country cops who rescue bulls, shoot dogs, and love a cold beer at the end of the day. And in between, they manage to apprehend some serious criminals. One of Australia's most successful and longest running dramas with 510 episodes produced over 13 series.
