Episode 8Wednesday, December 25, 2019 As an unprecedented heatwave grips the city, Eadie (Joanne Froggatt) stares down the possibility that the cost of her gamble will be the Latu’s future, the loss of her marriage and now the chance that her babies’ health is at risk. She doubts herself and begins to question her faith in the fundamental good nature of her fellow man. Her questions will be answered with a response she didn’t imagine possible. As an unprecedented heatwave grips the city, the Latus have no choice but to hide out at Dom’s (Rupert Penry-Jones) until an escape plan becomes clear. But as the mercury rises, their baby’s health starts to fail and they’re faced with the knowledge that going to hospital will bring the attention of the authorities resulting in deportation. What Eadie (Joanne Froggatt) didn’t foresee is the presence of former patient Ben Childers (Damon Herriman) as one of the Border Authority Officers tasked with apprehending the Latu family. As Eadie hunts for a way to buy time, Shay (Ryan Corr) and Lloyd (David Lyons) are forced to overcome their personal rift in order to get to the truth about who stole their IP and why.
