Episode 5Wednesday, December 25, 2019 As Ivy (Inez Currò) stares down an uncertain future, her mood hits the skids and Lloyd (David Lyons) looks to Shay (Ryan Corr) to step up into his godfatherly role and help her find her feet. The roll out of a Chagas vaccine trial at the Resettlement Centre stuns them all and deepens Lloyd’s determination to find out who leaked their work. Ivy (Inez Currò) is feeling the weight of the world on her shoulders as she stares down her 14th birthday. She’s not seeing much to celebrate and a violent break and enter at elderly neighbours Arnold (John Stanton) and Carol’s (Lynne Porteous) place does little to brighten her mood. Lloyd (David Lyons) is desperate to find a way to help her and decides it’s time for Shay (Ryan Corr) to finally make good on his role as Godparent. Eadie (Joanne Froggatt) is shocked to discover a private vaccination team, Uconica are rolling out a trial Chagas vaccination program at the Resettlement Centre. Frantic investigations reveal little, but Lloyd is sure that Lindriquil, having been rejected as partners, are somehow involved in the theft of their discovery. An ultrasound delivers Eadie a pregnancy surprise and sharpens her intention to finally come clean with Lloyd, but it’s a decision that will get hijacked from left field.
