Sharing an exercise yard with a freshly de-eared Mark "Chopper" Read may not be everybody's idea of a good time, but for Ray Chuck, prison is a safe haven compared to what's waiting for him on the outside. Brian Kane, looking to avenge the death of his brother Les, is on a warpath — and Ray Chuck knows it.

After Ray, Laurie Prendergast and Vinnie Mikkelsen are acquitted of Les Kane's death, it seems luck is on Ray's side when he is re-arrested for a previous crime. But Brian Kane has friends in high places. Ray Chuck can hide, but he can't run…

Meanwhile, in Sydney, Terry Clark and Allison Dine continue to reap the rewards of their heroin smuggling operation. It would seem all is rosy, but for their colleagues' increasing dependence on the drug they are smuggling. For Terry, this problem is a liability that must be eradicated. Quickly.
