Three months after Jacs Holt's death, new arrival Governor Joan Ferguson quickly makes an impact, halting Franky's contraband racket and creating an enemy.

Determined to unsettle Franky's powerbase, Ferguson returns Bea Smith to H Block though Bea is now a shadow of her former self, finding refuge in a haze of prescription medicine.

It's only with the help of her allies Bea is able to find something to live for — revenge against her daughter's killer.
