After the siege many of the prisoners and officers struggle to rebuild their lives and cope with memories, as the new general manager deals with the fallout from the siege and Will’s mismanagement of the prison.

Notes: Kate Box, Jane Hall, and Zoe Terakes join the primary cast. There's a new look to the opening credits (and many of the cast due to the gap between the filming of series 6 & 7 and series 8 & 9). In Prisoner, the character of Lou Kelly was played by Louise Siversen and Ann Reynolds was played by Gerda Nicolson.
