Episode 53

While Paul attempts to convince Gabby of his readiness for fatherhood, she decides to continue the pregnancy alone.

Marcus steps up with funding when Deborah withdraws her financial support for Peta's Country to Coast programme. Addo's attempt to please Emily's son backfire when he takes Josh on the boating and camping trip. Complaining about everything, Josh breaks away from the group and steals the boat for a joy ride, injuring Peta in the process.

Episode 54

Josh makes a rash decision and flees from both the boat and the lifeless Peta aboard it when it runs aground on a stretch of secluded shoreline. He's spotted by the campers and leads back to Peta and medical assistance is called in. Safely back at the club, Addo is forced to be the one to tell Emily about Josh's actions and he's taken aback by her punishment, or lack thereof.

Lucia is bemused when she's confronted by an intervention with Pia, Brian and Tess who shares her theory about Daniel being responsible for Philby's death. With Daniel's alibi for the night falling apart, Tess goes to DS Wilson who promises to look into it further.

DS Wilson cracks the code to Phiby's laptop and makes a shocking discovery.

Episode 55

Bec is called down to the station and interviewed about the threatening email she sent Philby. Later, after DS Wilson accuses them of acting together to kill Philby, Bec confides her story in Jarrod who, though stunned, agrees to keep her shocking truth a secret.

Daniel questions Lucia over her withdrawal from him and realises that the person behind it is Tess. Wilson questions Lucia about Daniel's movements on the night of the murder and advises her to stay away from him.

Stephen's ex calls wanting the twins to visit her in Paris. Having been previously spurned, Kirsten isn't interested in going but Kyle is eager to go ASAP after having been knocked back again by Lucia.

Meanwhile, Jarrod and Tracy contemplate a lucrative offer on their business and DS Wilson reopens the investigation into Jason Connors' death.

When Wilson finds an email from Bec that links Philby's murder and Jason's drowning, the investigation takes a turn, suggesting that in fact, Jason's death was not an accident at all.

In response to pressure from the superintendent, Wilson amps up the pressure on Deborah who in turn pressures Daniel to make sure Lucia will continue supporting his alibi.

Jarrod tells Tracy he's having second thoughts about selling their business while still going ahead with meeting the buyer.

Meanwhile, Daniel can't seem to get anyone to believe or help him with his alibi and when he digs up a skull at a vacant housing estate, his innocence is seriously questioned.

Episode 57

When Emily and Josh are kicked out of their apartment, Addo feels he has no choice but to let them move in with him at his father's place but it quickly becomes obvious that her financial woes are purely her own fault.

Gabby, Poppy and Paul visit Jason Connors' parents to warn them about their son's death possibly being related to Philby's murder. Gabby finds a letter address to her from Jason in which he professes his love for her on her 21st birthday. Jason's parents are withholding what could be important information.

Marcus provides Peta with a glowing reference for a new job while at the same time sabotaging her interview behind her back. However, Marcus' desperate plight to win over Peta dramatically backfires when Poppy exposes his lies and deceit. Marcus tells Peta he needs to accompany him to Adelaide as his wife.

Marcus explains to Peta that he needs to maintain their marriage to keep his trust fund and ties to talk Peta into accepting a deal in which they would stay married in exchange for her receiving a share of his inheritance. When Peta refuses the deal, Marcus skips town prompting Poppy to suggest Peta goes to follow him to Adelaide and reveal the truth to his family.

Emily moves into the O'Donnell house with a very ungrateful Josh. After Ron notices the disappearance of a valuable vase — which Emily pawned for gambling money — Tracy buys it back from a patron at the club leading Emily to confess everything.

A rekindling of his friendship with Gabby gets Paul's hopes up for a resumption of their relationship.

Paul and Gabby go public with their rekindled relationship and get support from family and friends. The school principal offers his reluctant congratulations on the pregnancy along with a warning that a transfer will be necessary if their relationship becomes disruptive to the other students.

Daniel tries to reconcile with Lucia but refuses to answer her questions about what he was really doing on the night of the murder.

In response to DS Wilson's questioning, Tess asks Bec if there was any bad blood between her and Philby or Jason which she denies accusing the police of being desperate in dredging up Jason's death. Tess also reveals to her that Deborah has hired a private investigator.

News reaches DS Wilson that Bec was cautioned by the medical board for drugging Blade. He brings her in to face his accusation that she did the same to Philby. Bec denies the allegation and leaves but not without police surveillance following her.

When Bec is caught meeting with Jarrod, they are both brought back in when Wilson discovers Bec's parking fine was paid off using the marked money that was in Philby's possession on the night of his death.

Episode 60

Unable to handle the guilt and pressure any longer, Bec finally cracks and exposes the secret she's been keeping for the last nine years...

On the day of Gabby's 21st, Jarrod proposed to Bec but plans to tell their friends the next day were put off by Jason's death.

Jason and Philby had to rescue Bec from Philby's lecherous father with Philby laying into his dad. Despite Bec's concerns for George, the three left him to go to Gabby's party. It was at the party where Jason is believed to have drowned after falling — or jumping — from the boat after realising what Philby had done.

After the party, Bec returned to the McManus' house where she found Philby in the midst of disposing of George's body. Philby refused to go to the police and managed to make it look like George had run away which was an easy story for Deborah of believe.

Back at the police station, matters take a turn when George McManus' body cannot be located where it was buried and the missing piece of evidence is located in Bec's apartment. Bec is formally charged with the murder of Phillip McManus.

Wilson speaks with Deborah about the whereabout of her husband and explains Bec's accusation that Philby beat him to death, a notion Deborah finds preposterous.

Bec's friends are confident she is being set up and are determined to prove it. Bec reveals to Peta and Stephen that Jarrod was also angry with Philby on the night of his murder but doesn't know why.

Things get much worse for Bec when the gun suspected in the attempted shooting of Tiger is found in the locker at the hospital. It's a little to convenient and Wilson begins to believe Bec is being set up.

Tess makes a shocking discovery in Daniel's gym bag leading Daniel to confirm to Tess and Deborah Bec's story about Philby killing his father.

A key piece of evidence is unearthed and Daniel finds Tiger who reveals the identity of Philby's killer.

The police helicopter arrives to assist in the search for Tracy and DS Wilson takes Jarrod back to the police station where he outlines Tracy's confession.

As the news filters to the rest of the community, the group of close-knit friends are forced to deal with the horrible truth that one of their best friends is a murderer.

Despite Tracy's failed effort to set her up, Bec offers her support to Jarrod while maintaining to Gabby it would be for the best for everyone involved if Tracy wasn't found alive. Going to work, Bec is on hand when Tracy is admitted to the ER.

After being informed of Tracy's rescue, Jarrod and Ron race to the hospital where Bec, despite her initial misgivings, is forced to treat Tracy when her blood pressure starts to fall.

Tess' struggles with how to view Philby in the aftermath of learning about her husbands actions in the lead up to his murder. To reassure her, Gabby shares with her a gift Philby once gave to her.

Zoe is full of questions about her mother's whereabouts but no one can give voice to an answer.

Jarrod confronts Bec seeking confirmation about the real reason she broke up with him and left town. It wasn't because she slept with Jason as she told him, rather it was because she saw Philby kill his father.

Tracy regains consciousness.

Bec makes the decision to leave the past behind and commit to a life with Stephen and the twins. Deborah is thinking similarly and organises a funeral service for her husband.

Lucia informs her parents she and Daniel are back together. No one is happy but Pia suggests to Ron and Stavva that they shouldn't fight Lucia on it lest they push her away. Pia's peace offering to the McManuses leaves Lucia speechless.

Stephen questions himself for not picking up on Tracy's struggles during their counselling sessions. To satisfy professional curiousity, Stephen visits Tracy in hospital.

A shock discovery is made when Tracy fails to regain feeling in her legs. She then reveals her belief that Bec intentionally mistreated her, leading to her current paralysis, as a means of revenge.

The new police constable has arrived with a secret of his own.

Bec is furious at the injustice of being blamed for Tracy's paralysis. Suspended from work pending a formal investigation, Bec turns to Peta for legal help but she's already been contacted to represent Tracy.

While giving her statement to DS Wilson, Tracy includes a puzzling comment about Jason being happy about Philby's death. With the murder investigation concluded, DS Wilson is transfered out of Manly.

Tracy's friends are eager for answers so an angry Stavva leads his friends down to the hospital to confront her. Bec asks Gabby not to say anything about her saying everyone would be better off if Tracy were dead.

Meanwhile, the mystery of the new policeman Sam begins to take shape as he begins looking into an old case and Marcus returns, threatening to go public with dirt on Peta if she doesn't stay married to him.

Marcus presents Poppy with evidence that Peta sabotaged the defence of a dangerous criminal while working for Legal Aid. He threatens to go public and ruin her career if Poppy doesn't convince Peta to stay married to him. Against her better judgement, Peta agrees to the deal.

Pia plays peacemaker by inviting Daniel to a family dinner. Stavva and Ron give Daniel a hard time but Daniel plays nice and wins over the family.

Zoe runs away from home to visit her mother in hospital. Jarrod must work out how much to tell Zoe about her mother who is seemingly content to accept her inevitable punishment and be out of their lives.

Meanwhile, Lucia and Stavva begin planning a party for their parents 30th wedding anniversary and Constable Sam Webster is one step closer to finding out who killed his parents.

Gabby says yes to Paul's impromptu marriage proposal and they are both swept up in the happiness of the moment, but they receive some very bad news after the ultrasound.

With news Tracy's of misdeeds hitting the front page of the newspapers, Jarrod must find a way to tell Zoe about her mother's crimes before she heads back to school.

Meanwhile, Emily risks losing custody of Josh and Stavva becomes Tess' unlikely birthing partner when she goes into labour early.

As Gabby and Paul have to deal with the heartache of terminating thir pregnancy, Tess is overjoyed to give birth to a very healthy boy. When he goes missing from the nursery however, her joyous day takes a terrible turn.

Stephen reviewing his sessions with Tracy trying to find what he missed but his interview with Tracy takes a dark turn when she describes hearing voices.

Pia sees Emily meeting with a loan shark in the café and shares her concerns with Addo. Emily reluctantly comes clean about her gambling addiction when confronted by Addo who forces her to go into rehab. Not wanting Addo to wait around for her, Emily breaks up with him.

Meanwhile, Tess asks Stavva to be Darcy's Godfather and Deborah is dismayed to see Tracy is also a patient at the hospital.

When Darcy goes missing from the nursery, Tess desperately searches the hospital for him. Darcy is spotted outside by Tracy and returned to Tess. The case dovetails with Constable Sam Webster's personal investigation leading him to further question Pia about an incident 30 years ago on the night of her and Brian's wedding in which a baby was abandoned at the same location.

Peta is about to leave for Adelaide with Marcus when she and Poppy see Marcus on the beach with his new girlfriend giving Peta leverage to finally end their relationship.

Jason's parents, who've known all along Zoe was Jason's daughter, visit the O'Donnells to meet their granddaughter for the first time. In exchange for staying in Zoe's life, they agree not to tell her they're her grandparents.

Bec questions her culpability for Tracy's injury and visits her in the police station to clear things up only to go off on Tracy for setting her up to take the blame for Philby's murder. Tracy escapes while being transferred to the detention centre.

Constable Webster informs Jarrod of Tracy's disappearance and the possibility that she was abducted. Daniel McManus quickly becomes everyone's prime suspect having been seen at the station at the time and having a clear motive for revenge.

Paul formally proposes to Gabby on the beach and gives her his mother's engagement ring but Gabby, uncertain of her feelings, doesn't actually give an answer.

Bec admits to Jarrod she may have inadvertently injured Tracy but the timing in not good for Jarrod to hear her confession and he leaves in a rage, later confronting Daniel at his home.

Meanwhile, an exuberant Stavva leads the welcome wagon when Tess brings home baby Darcy and Tracy's abductor is revealed.

Episode 72

Trapped in the cabin with her abductor, Tracy is terrified as to how she may fit into his plans for revenge. Sam reveals his theory about his parents' deaths in a car accident when he was an infant and how all the evidence he has spent his career gathering leads him to one suspect — Ron O'Donnell.

Paul sense Gabby is pulling away from him and asks her to be truthful with her feeling for him which she admits to being uncertain about. When he presses her for a decision, she's forced to admit they do not have a future together.

With Tracy still missing, Jarrod helps save Bec's career when he gives a statement to the medical board regarding her treatment on the night his wife was found. In a moment of emotional confusion, they almost share a kiss.

Episode 73

After her near kiss with Jarrod, Bec asks Stephen to marry her just as Kyle arrives back from Europe. Already in a foul mood, he is furious at the engagement.

Eager to share her news, Bec visits Gabby but keeps the news to herself when she realises her friend is still dealing with her breakup from Paul. Gabby then learns the news when she comes across Stephen sharing the good news with Stavva at the café.

After Darcy's abduction at the hospital, Tess is fearful of something else happening and refuses to let him out of her arms but Stavva is a calming influence.

Meanwhile, Addo is called on to make good on a debt.

Episode 74

Addo is horrified when he finds out the girl Stavva has been seeing is Amber — the woman that set him up for Reynolds who is looking for Addo repay a $100k debt.

Sam reveals his revenge plan to Tracy — killing Ron on Pia and Brian's wedding anniversary. His first action is to send Ron an ominous note in the mail. Ron takes the note to the police but Constable Webster dismisses the threat while questioning Ron if he's done something to warrant the attention.

Tracy's escape seems a sure thing when she get access to a hone but her call for help is answered by Daniel at the cafe. Wanting his own revenge, Daniel makes his way to the cabin where Constable Webster arrests him for kidnapping Tracy.

Episode 75

Daniel pleads his innocence as he's being lead away in handcuffs while Constable Webster receives praise from his colleagues for finding Tracy and her kidnapper. Back at the station, Detective Piper joins Webster in questioning Daniel who demands to speak with a lawyer. Jarrod is able to visit Tracy but she is unable to talk due to the drugs she was given in the cabin.

Tess visits Jarrod to make peace between their two families. She also calls on Stavva to assume his godfather duties for baby Darcy's christening and asks Poppy and Peta to be godmothers. Deborah isn't happy about this and refuses to go if the O'Donnell's will be involved.

The police are forced to release Daniel due to a lack of evidence. His first stop is to the cafe where he tries to plead his innocence to Lucia.

Ron receives another threatening letter which he show to Pia and Brian who goes to the police station to confess his involvement in the car accident that took the lives of Webster's parents.

After making his confession regarding the accident, Brian requests his formal statement be put off until after his anniversary party which Webster agrees to allowing further investigation. As Brian considers the possibility of going to jail, he decides to come clean to Pia but is talked out of it by Webster. Instead, Brian decides he and Pia should renew their wedding vows. Then he surprises Pia by deciding to sell his business.

Bec is taken aback by Stephen's admission that he doesn't want any more children. Their relationship appears destined to come to an end until Stephen makes a commitment. Their engagement dinner looks like it's going to be a disaster when Stephen's ex-wife turns up.

Tess mistakenly opens a letter addressed to Deborah containing her late husbands will. The document leaves everything to his wife, Deborah, and their three children. News of another sibling, born out of wedlock and adopted out, is a shock for Daniel but Deborah solves things by destroying the will.

Whilst Angela's seemingly malicious arrival ruins Bec's and Stephen's engagement dinner, there are many who ask exactly what is her true agenda. Bec is shocked by Angela's mid-party revelation that Stephen has had a vasectomy.

Reynolds offers Addo the opportunity to pay off his debt by working for him selling his new luxury apartments. The catch being he's selling them pre-renovations which Reynolds has no intention of doing. Addo is hesitant to get involved in the scam but Stavva and Amber advise him to play along until they can turn the tables. But can he afford to keep quiet when Poppy's nan invests?

While the preparations for Pia and Brian's renewal of vows are in full flight, Sam is conceiving ways to complete his vendetta. With time quickly running out for the Joneses, it seems that a heavily sedated Tracey is the only person that holds the key to Sam's deadly scheme.

A panicked Addo turns to Stavva for advice on what to tell Poppy and Peta about Reynolds' scam. Amber tells them about a big deal Reynolds has coming up that they can tip off the police about.

Sam plants Tracy's wedding ring in Daniel's room and it is found by a colleague when the house is searched. With Daniel out of the picture, Sam arranges for himself to drive the entire Jones family to the ceremony.

Tracy's friends unravel her cryptic warning and Daniel is able to call through to Lucia to caution her about Sam.
