Guy Pearce is back for one last crusade reprising his iconic role as Jack Irish, a former criminal lawyer with a penchant for getting wrapped up in things he shouldn’t.

Inspired by the acclaimed crime novels of Peter Temple, the explosive four-part series comes full circle, with the long-suppressed trauma of Jack’s wife’s brutal and random murder by his former client Wayne Milovich — which launched the first Jack Irish instalment, Bad Debts — rearing its ugly head after Jack discovers there was more to those fateful events all those years ago.

Striking painfully close to home, Jack’s obsession with unlocking the secrets of the past brings him face-to-face with an adversary more personal and destructive than any other he has known.

After the execution-style death of an off-duty cop, Barry Tregear calls in a favour with Jack, leading him on the path to uncovering a buried truth about his murdered wife, Isabel.
