Penny's teenage son hatches a cunning plan to rekindle the romance between Hugh and Penny; Sharna launches a charm offensive to get Hugh a high-profile job in the city; Meryl and Michael's romance faces a major roadblock.

Hugh is free to leave Whyhope, so Sharna takes him to Sydney to show him the city life he thought was lost. Matt tags along to pitch his beer and gets an offer, whilst back in Whyhope, Charlie takes up Sharna’s offer to become the new temp mayor.

Notes: Ryan Johnson and his stunt double Aidan Gillett starred alongside one another in the short-lived 2008 soap Out of the Blue. Wadih Dona reprises his role as Dr. Ogilvy, one of the Medical Tribunal doctors that exiled Hugh in 1.01. Winta McGrath's first appearance since ep 3.10
