Valerie is surprised to learn it was Laurie Whitford who stole the money. His use of the money to help his granddaughter escape an abusive relationship earns him an unexpected reprieve from JJ on the condition he performs some odd jobs around their house. Eric's health is a concern for his coworkers and Danni draws the short straw to discuss it with him. Susan rejects Vic's offer to move in together. Eric collapses at work.©tzuk

The search for the suicidal man ramps up when he is spotted hiding in a boat shed. The man is later injured when he crashes a stolen car. He loses his memory and flees the hospital before detectives arrive. After the man's wife and daughter make an emotional appeal on tv, the boat shed owner brings the missing man in hoping to claim the reward after first trying to blackmail the family. Eric has drinks with Valerie to quiz her about Lorna's relationship with Jim. With just days until the election, Danni is willing to call Philips bluff. After his wife agrees to go public with the truth, including her role in the coverup, Danni arrests Philip in the middle of a campaign event.©tzuk
