This guide is a work in progress (2020) and covers the episodes of Cop Shop that have been released on DVD and is divided accordingly. 12 volumes, each containing 26 episodes, have been released to date. The images link to image galleries.

Valerie is wracked with guilt after Claire has an accident in the Johnson's kitchen. Alison and Mike return from Adelaide having decided to get married. The detectives investigate a series of violent attacks against a union leader but with the man receiving psychiatric care, they have doubts about how much truth there is to his reports. Glenn takes time off after Pamela's father is admitted to intensive care.©tzuk

Following an attempted bombing, the detectives take a deeper look into the union's finances and its leader's private affairs. Pamela and Glenn break the news to Gayle that her grandfather has died. After learning Valerie has been opening his mail, JJ has a special package delivered to the house to tempt his Pandora. Pamela wants to leave Riverside as soon as possible — with or without Glenn. At a crossroads, Glenn decides to quit the police force.©tzuk

The detectives investigate attacks against a probation officer while a man released from prison finds out his wife is involved with his brother. Amanda tires of the constant unfavourable comparisons to Danni and Claire is forced to go into hospital.©tzuk

While Mike and Amanda investigate the shooting of the ex-con's brother, JJ feels like he's dodged a bullet when he doesn't get Glenn's job. Eric lands the job on a temporary basis and sets his sights on a permanent placement. Following on, Tony takes over the Uniform Branch from Eric. Eric's penchant for paperwork helps solve a string of crimes but takes its toll on JJ. Alison agrees to meet with her ex who is determined to have her back.©tzuk

Mike is called upon to help track down an escaped prisoner given his history with the family. JJ is frustrated by having Eric as his boss and is prepared to put in for a transfer if he gets the job permanently. Eric is also having trouble adjusting to working in Criminal Investigation. Valerie wants to organise a party for Mike and Alison's wedding. While in town, Lorna reconnects with Eric. Alison gets a restraining order against her ex, Ralph. It does not work. Fleeing an argument with Ralph, Alison is struck by a car outside Mike's house. She dies in hospital.©tzuk

JJ is determined to find Ralph Finley before Mike does. The mother of escaped crim Wayne Preston says he'll give himself up but only to Mike. However, Preston is planning to kill Mike as payback for putting him in prison. Danni returns. News of Alison's death hits her hard, as it has Valerie, and she tries to be of comfort to Mike. JJ finds Finley but without anything to charge him with, JJ tells him to leave town for his own safety. With all the focus on Mike, Claire feels forgotten in hospital. JJ and Eric have it out over the running of the CI unit.©tzuk

JJ is disappointed to be passed over for head of CI. To make matters worse, Valerie makes him break the news to Eric who had his heart set on the job. Mike and Danni investigate a series of robberies while Roy hauls in two youth, one nude, running wild in a local park. Det Snr Sgt Vic Cameron arrives at Riverside but his reputation as a stickler could not be further from reality. He arrives a bitter, broken man after two recent family tragedies. Vic's aggressive approach with the father of a young arsonist allows JJ to solve the robbery cases.©tzuk

JJ is tipped off about the return to town of the mastermind behind a big payroll robbery seven years prior. The man avoided arrest at the time and JJ believes he's back to collect the money. In reality he's returned to help his drug-addicted daughter who has been used as a pawn to lure him out of hiding. Vic takes JJ off the case believing he's operating behind his back. Meanwhile, Valerie invites Vic over for dinner, Claire is welcomed home from hospital, and Vic's sister tries to light a fire under him if not for his sake then for that of his daughter.©tzuk

When the second man is assaulted, Riverside CI becomes involved. Valerie overdoses on hot toddies while battling a cold. Liz wants Vic to put his daughter Kate in a boarding school. Danni receives a letter from Glenn from France. Valerie has designs on her and JJ finally having a honeymoon in Surfers Paradise, he even comes through with plans — for a trip to the casino in Hobart. Vic asks Danni for advice on fitting in with the team and on keeping Amanda in CI.©tzuk

He loses another third to an old debt and is convinced by JJ and Vic to gift half of what's left to the family of the now-deceased co-winner. JJ and Valerie argue about who will get to concede to the other's preferred honeymoon destination. Eric relents to Amanda being seconded to CI full-time. Vic's colleagues begin to meet his family. Riverside is thrown into disarray when Tony and Eric rush to the hospital to be with Claire. Eric triumphantly announces the birth of his granddaughter to his colleagues who are gathered in Vic's hotel room to await the news. Roy feels passed over by Amanda's promotion to CI.©tzuk

When Vic enrols his daughter in a boarding school, she confides in her new headmistress that she doesn't think her father loves her. JJ and Valerie's honeymoon destination is resolved, maybe. Mike's car is smashed while he's checking on his informant. A brazen bank robbery looks to be the work of a former employee who has struggled to cope since being the victim of a holdup himself. The thief tries to launder the dye-stained bank notes giving Amanda the chance to go undercover. Liz passes on a collection of stolen women's undergarments to the police. Despite Vic's efforts of avoidance, Susan Maynard meets with Vic to tell him about Kate's feelings towards him.©tzuk

The man and his wife want the reward money and contact a reporter who writes a story dredging up Vic's past. Eric thinks he might be in the way living with Tony and Claire. The station is beset by women looking to retrieve their stolen underwear. Lorna convinces Claire to accept help in caring for Prue. Mike meets with an ex-cop who was driven out of the force by accusations of corruption with the aim of taking down a crime boss.©tzuk

When Lorna invites Eric to stay the night with her at Valerie's while the Johnsons are on vacation it gives Eric cause to consider moving out on his own. Answering to reports of a nude sunbather, Roy brings in the offender — a mannequin. Roy can't work up the nerve to tell Vic he's dating Liz but Danni guesses the truth.©tzuk

An old army mate of Vic's asks him to track down an elite soldier who has gone AWOL after being refused reenlistment due to his age. Roy brings Liz to dinner at Eric and the Benjamins.©tzuk

Roadblocks are set up to catch a pair of robbers who made off with $300,000 in old bank notes. Eric's keen eye and Roy's quick actions leads to their capture but the search is on for a third man and some unrecovered money. That man's nephew is later abducted by the criminal who set up the heist to get the missing money. Kate invites Roy and Liz to join her and her father for an indoor picnic lunch. Valerie wants to show JJ's old mate the joys of married life but JJ's not on the same page. JJ is concerned about Eric's health.©tzuk

Detectives later catch the kidnapper trying to recover the money while his girlfriend flees their hideout with the missing boy in tow. Danni locates the pair and makes the arrest earning accolades in the press and an offer for a job on a special assignments squad. Meanwhile, Roy asks Liz to help him look for a place of his own, Claire confides in Valerie about her concern for her father's health, and JJ's mate has his drunken proposal rejected.©tzuk

Danni doesn't take kindly to Mike and JJ's chauvinistic attitude toward her promotion. A protest by unemployed youth turns violent with Roy caught in the middle and knocked unconscious. Liz knows the presumed assailant and clashes with Vic after paying the man's bail. Valerie longs for a job but JJ continues to put his foot down. Susan asks for Vic's help finding the person propositioning students with anonymous notes. Claire discovers her father has a heart condition and asks JJ to talk to him. Eric admits his stress comes from living with Clair and Tony.©tzuk

The media latches on to the arson case, with Liz's involvement a salacious detail. A health inspection closes down the employment centre and Liz's friend is assaulted. Eric is perturbed by the escalating cost of meals. Kate tells Susan her father is not the "marrying kind". Danni turns down the promotion.©tzuk

Episode 181

A major investigation is launched after a bystander is killed when an attempt is made on the life of a crusading MP who has accused senior police officers of being involved in the drug trade. Danni goes undercover as a student when Riverside CI looks into the lurid notes left at Susan's school. Valerie agrees to do the neighbours a small favour by looking after their large dog while they are on vacation.
