In Volume 11, Cameron puts his life on the line in a siege situation. Johnson is hailed as a hero but his tough exterior is tested. Riverside Police are under orders to cooperate with an investigative documentary maker who proves himself to be a nuisance to both Danni and Amanda. Valerie, Lorna and Claire buy into a Coffee Shop business and when Baker takes up cycling, O’Reilly nominates himself as his racing coach.

Two brothers take advantage of a workers' strike to steal a safe from an electronics company. The owner suspects industrial espionage but when the burnt out safe is located, detectives conclude it was a trial run for a larger heist and search for suspects. When they locate their man, he's already been killed. Roy finds Minh wandering the streets and brings her back to the station where she reveals to Amanda she's been searching for her 10-year-old cousin. Valerie's return from holiday forces Jeff to undertake a major housecleaning. He almost gets started before she arrives. Liz says her goodbyes.©tzuk

Vic selects Danni to work with the journo, Mike's ex-classmate Terry Linford-Jones. Vic looks for a replacement for Jeff but decides to apply for a station upgrade to open the way for Jeff's return to Riverside. Valerie harnesses the power of positive thinking when faced with the possibility Jeff could be transferred to the country. In the meantime, Jeff is assigned to foot patrols. McEwan withdraws his application after getting a taste of action. Liz's friends believe she's is trouble but Vic, burned once for interfering in his sister's life, won't intervene again.©tzuk

Riverside welcomes Jeff back into the fold as detectives investigate an art theft. After a bungled ransom exchange results in the remains of one painting being returned, the art owner wants police off the case. To get Terry Linford-Jones out of the station, Vic agrees to let Danni take police files home so he can work there. Terry takes advantage of the situation to steal some of the files earning him a telling off. His attempt to charm himself back into Danni's good books gets him another. Valerie and Claire want to purchase a coffee shop but the idea is dismissed by their husbands. Roy is concerned about Liz but Vic is adamant she be allowed to make it on her own. Jeff is presented with his valour award.©tzuk

Valerie and Claire approach Eric for a loan to buy the coffee shop. Eric's not interested in risking his savings and they can't get a bank loan without their husband's involvement. Jeff is frank in his thoughts on Valerie's ability to run a business and she vows to do it without him. Continuing to investigate the art theft, detectives learn the stolen art work is counterfeit. Police insist on being present for another ranson drop but the thieves get impatient and decide to steel the money before the drop. Seeing how upset Valerie is to be leaving Riverside, Jerry breaks up with her so she can stay. Danni accepts Terry's apology. Vic informs Danni she'll have to accompany Terry on a trip to Sydney. Mike also has to go to Sydney to testify in court. Lorna announces she's mortgaged her house to put down the deposit on the coffee shop.©tzuk

Lorna's investment in the coffee shop adds fuel to an already fierce debate about women and business. Vic offers support to a forlorn Liz. ©tzuk

The man tips off the police hoping his daughter will use the reward money to get a fresh start. When she disappears, Jeff believes the drug addicted young woman is being held as leverage to stop her father from talking to the police. When the coffee shop endeavour hits a setback due to costly renovations, Valerie finagles Roy into helping out. Mike places some bets for Valerie which come in. The winnings pay for the renovations even after Jeff takes a half share. Danni is determined to find out what happened to the missing girls but Terry warns her not get too personally involved. Vic is concerned Liz is cutting him and her friends out of her life. The pair are invited for dinner at the Johnsons but Liz leaves early without warning. Eric monopolises Roy's new pocket calculator.©tzuk

His reluctant accomplice takes a bullet to save the couple but the next shot strikes Vic before Jeff takes him down. Needing more help at the coffee shop, Valerie reaches out to Eric to get him involved in the creation of a wooden bench.©tzuk

While the detectives try to decipher the garbled recording, the extortionists rob a bookie only for their heist to be foiled by a homemade dye bomb. Despite being lauded as a hero in the newspaper and by his friends, Jeff is troubled at having taken a life. Danni and Terry come to the realisation that the killer of their missing girls is still active in Riverside. Vic is released from hospital but tries to keep tabs on things from home.©tzuk

Eric owes his life to the man and is further conflicted when he learns the man is a recent widower and has a daughter with special needs. Terry Linford-Jones returns to film a documentary series on police work at Riverside station, focussing on the daily routine of a female officer. With Danni unavailable, the job falls to Amanda. While helping Amanda investigate a warehouse robbery, Tony discovers that Valerie is the soft drink bandit. Riverside is approved for an upgrade allowing for additional staff.©tzuk

A newspaper article denigrates the quality of the meals served to prisoners from the coffee shop. Valerie sets the record straight only for the station to be beset by homeless men looking for a good meal. New constable Stephen Waters begins his first shift 45 seconds late while Tony's last hours in uniform are marred by a cyclist rear ending the police car which Tony has double parked. To settle the cyclist's $6 damages bill, Eric charges Roy and Tony $5 each. Terry's documentary debuts.©tzuk

Roy buys a new bike and sells his old one to Eric. Tony is set to begin three months of detective training school. Two bickering sisters crash their car outside the coffee shop.©tzuk

A lawyer involved in a fatal car accident tries to mask his intoxication by having a drink after the crash "to calm his nerves" in full view of the police. Constable Waters is reprimanded and faces a possible assault charge for knocking the bottle out of the man's hand. Eric rescues Roy from falling victim to a prank.©tzuk

Constable Waters actions in the drunk driving case are investigated and he is transferred out of Riverside. Tony is busy taking classes at detective school. Valerie is knocked unconscious after falling off a ladder while cleaning the house. Someone breaks into Amanda's flat.©tzuk

When Amanda learns of this she is furious with him for withholding information and investigating the corrupt trade union on his own. Detectives investigate a bank robbery and kidnapping. All signs point to the bank robbery being an inside job when detectives find their suspect, who recently planned a similar robbery, with his arms full of stolen cash and a note thanking him for his help in the robbery. Without telling Jeff, Valerie has the house valued ($60,000) and lines up a buyer with an eye on buying a little farm in the country. The whole plan unravels when Jeff learns a new freeway is to run through the property. The short-staffed Uniform Branch is bolstered by the arrival of a new constable fresh from the country. While coaching Roy, Eric runs into an old cycling rival who is training Roy's opposition.©tzuk
