Blood samples found on Councillor Jacinta Clunes’ car reveal a familial link to Dorothy Moxley and the task force makes an astonishing discovery about the connection between three women involved in the investigation. Alex brings Inspector Lewis to Grace’s house to show him the bones he discovered and learns that Lewis knows more than he’s letting on. The Door of Salvation and Star of the Forest Church are revealed to be connected to a mysterious coven based in an old Scottish religion who call themselves Crofters. Alex goes back to where he started 20 years ago — following the journey he and Jenny took on that fateful day to try and discover the truth about her death.
