Lina works a drugs case involving undercover cop, Adam, who's been living with a Vietnamese heroin gang for three years. He is shaken by his experiences and Lina fears he may be suffering from PTSD, and prove an unreliable witness. But after Tony opens her eyes to the real reason behind Adam's edginess, Lina's witness goes AWOL.

Erin deals with a bizarre mistaken identity rape case: a woman who wilfully slept with the wrong blind date. Erin is faced with a tricky decision of whether this is indeed rape. As she drowns her sorrows, she once again succumbs to Jimmy Butcher's charms, and once again, wakes up regretting her lack of judgement.

Preparing for the sentencing of a psychopath, Richard uses the services of psychologist Dr. Amelia Ward, a very sexy older woman. Having borrowed Conrad's suit for his court appearance, Richard enjoys the older woman's advances, and after a successful prosecution, they return to Richard's office and have sex. But when Richard returns home rather dishevelled and grinning like a Cheshire cat, Conrad's confused over Richard's sexual orientation.

Ben is up before Judge Rapson, who has a peculiar habit of consulting his duck umbrella handle during cases. But a neat piece of advice from Julie helps Ben play him right.
