Ben is assisting solicitor to a drunken, unravelling Tony Gillies on a high profile murder case. Tracey warns him that Tony is liable to fail spectacularly, but Ben's only seeing what this high profile case will do for his career. As predicted, Tony stumbles in court and flees, leaving Ben in the lurch, and Ben loses his temper calling Tony a disgrace. But he's forced to come to Tony's rescue when David tells him the reason behind Tony's torment.

Richard is still homeless, and unable to oust his disabled tenant. After a terrible night in a hostel, he visits the house to discover that his tenant is able bodied and obnoxious. But forcing the tenant out has serious consequences.
