A horrific murder puts Zoe and Dan in a race against the clock to stop the killer striking again, while Amber (Marny Kennedy) attempts to play matchmaker and puts Claire (Darcie Irwin-Simpson) in Stephen’s (Dominic Monaghan) sights.

A woman out for a jog accidently records the horrific moment that she is set upon by an attacker who rapes and kills her. Zoe and Dan need to move fast as the murderer is certain to strike again but the investigation takes a surprising turn when their prime suspect is abducted.

Closer to home, Zoe drops the bombshell of her engagement to Kristof (Damian Walshe-Howling) which makes Dan realise he needs to act before he loses her forever. While it doesn’t go the way he had planned, a harmless conversation about the serial case leads to an unexpected moment.

Meanwhile, Stephen is still hoping his application for the detectives and designs on Amber will come to fruition but when Amber plays matchmaker, she inadvertently puts Claire’s life in grave danger. Dan and Jim (Robert Mammone) press hard to get a strike force set up without luck but Stephen might be about to give them the helping hand they need, setting a plan into motion to prove his superiority over the detectives once and for all.
