Episode 1 On a school camping trip to view a solar eclipse, Paul Reynolds and his friend Alex decide to play a practical joke on two female classmates who are exploring a 'haunted' cave set inside unusual magnetic rocks. Paul and Alex want scare the girls by having Paul dress up as a ghost, but the cable they rig up for Paul to slide down passes too close to some overhead power lines causing an electrical surge to pass through the cable and explode, sending Paul through a strange portal and into a parallel universe. Unsure of his new surroundings, Paul encounters a strange man who is upset at Paul for taking his 'Eyestone', an odd devise Paul finds on the ground. Paul flees from the man and spends the night asleep under a pile of leaves. In the morning, Paul comes across a seemingly deserted camp site where he is soon set upon by an unknown person. Episode 2 Paul's captor turns out to be a young girl who thinks Paul is a Marauder. Fearful of the eclipse, she believes Paul to be its cause, a belief he exploits to earn his freedom. When the girls runs away, Paul pursues her and saves her from drowning only to see her run off again. After witnessing an attack on a pair of travellers by some actual Marauders, Paul comes across a settlement. In the village, Paul again encounters the girl, and returns her trade goods which she left behind in the forest. Taking in the state of the settlement, Paul is convinced he has travelled back in time. When he innocently helps a young man build a flying toy, Paul attracts the attention of a powerful Spellbinder, who reminds everyone it is forbidden by the Spellbinders to build new things. Paul escapes and flees into the forrest with the help of the young girl, Riana, who is now convinced Paul can't be a Marauder after he saved her life and returned her belongings. In the forrest, a Spellbinder flying craft passes overhead and Paul quickly realises he is not in the past. Meanwhile, the police and Paul's classmates are busy searching for Paul. Alex and Katrina's story of Paul's disappearance doesn't go over well with the police, forcing the kids to come up with another explanation for what happened to their friend. Episode 3 After narrowly escaping the Spellbinder's flying ship, Paul tries to convince Riana that he's not dangerous to be around, and wins her over by showing her his cassette player. Paul stumbles across a mining operation and comes away puzzled about the magnetic rocks being gathered for the Spellbinders. Returning to the spot where he entered Riana's world, a Spellbinder Summoning Tower, Paul gets a fleeting glimpse of his father when another portal is opened when a Summoner arrives and activates the tower. The portal closes before Paul can pass through, but he is spotted on the other side by Katrina, however once again her story is not believed by Paul's father or the police. Once again stranded with Riana, Paul is taken back to her village but his presence cannot be kept secret for long... Episode 4 Riana and her parents protect Paul from the inquisitive Summoner by telling him that Paul is Riana cousin. Paul attracts the attention of Gryvon, the Summoner's son and apprentice, when he creates some labour saving devices while working in the fields with Riana, and again when he saves the life of Riana's little brother who nearly drowns. Picking up a Spellbinder broadcast on his radio, Paul wants to observe the Spellbinders as they cast a 'powerful spell' to bring an end to a blight affecting the villagers crops. When he sees a Spellbinder flying ship spraying the crops, Paul tries to explain to Riana that the Spellbinders aren't magicians, but are using science. Hoping the Spellbinders knowledge of science can help him get home, Paul explains to Gryvon that he is from another world and asks to be taken to the Spellbinders' castle to ask for their help. Unfortunately, Gryvon doesn't believe him. Later, when the village is attacked by Marauders, Paul scare them off using the fireworks he created to demonstrate his knowledge to Gryvon. For using his 'magic', Paul is imprisoned. Paul tries to prove he's actually from another world by showing off his video camera but Riana's little sister has taken the tape. Locked up, Paul sees an opportunity to plead his case directly to the Spellbinders as he wanted but doesn't anticipate being banished to the wastelands. Meanwhile, Katrina believes that Paul has somehow been pulled into another dimension, and despite having a hard time convincing anyone else of her theory, she is determined to prove it is true. Episode 5 Paul is transported to the Spellbinder castle to appear before the Regents. Riana finds Paul's videotape but in taking it to the Summoner to prove Paul's story, finds only Gryvon. Determined to help Paul, Riana decides to travel to the Spellbinder castle. At the castle, Paul tries to explain to Ashka, a Spellbinder, that he has no magic but is in fact from another world. Ashka appeals to the Regents for leniency in light of Paul driving off the Marauders, but on the strength of Paul's own admissions, he is ordered to be banished. Paul speaks up with a demonstration of his otherworldly belongings but only manages to earn a delay while the Regents examine his things. In the castle cells, Paul is reunited with Zander, the young man he helped build a flying toy in Rivertown. Zander is also scheduled to be banished for breaking the Spellbinder's laws. En route to the Spellbinder castle, Riana crosses paths with Gryvon. Back in Paul's world, Katrina tries to convince a sceptical Alex of her theory that Paul is in a parallel world to their own. Episode 6 Gryvon arrives at the Spellbinders' castle with some of Paul's fireworks to show Ashka. Suitably impressed, Ashka wants the secret from Paul and goes about befriending Paul hoping to see what other useful things he may know. Sneaking into the castle, Riana encounters Correon in his lab studying Paul's possessions. Showing him Paul's video tape, Correon and the other Regents are quickly convinced that Paul comes from another world and reluctantly agree to question him further instead of banishing him. Unfortunately for Riana, Correon tells her she's seen too much inside the castle will not be allowed to return home but must stay on a a servant, the only alternative is banishment to the wasteland. Under the guise of setting him free, Ashka spirits Paul out of the cells to keep him away from the Regents, transferring him to the castle cellar — she wants the secret to the gunpowder! To keep Riana out of her way, Ashka sets up Riana to take the blame for Paul's "escape". Meanwhile, back in Pail's world, Katrina blackmail's Alex to help her approach Paul's father with her theory about Paul's disappearance. Paul's father is unimpressed with Katrina's findings and is convinced Paul matches the description of a boy spotted in the bush 30km away. Katrina remains adamant and Alex admits he may have seen Paul when he tried to return through the portal. Episode 7 With a promise to be set free if he reveals the secret to making gunpowder, Paul keeps Gryvon busy preparing a diversionary concoction while he creates the real thing to provide a proper demonstration for Ashka. Not trusting Paul, Ashka has Gryvon secretly follow Paul's instructions on his own to make another batch of gunpowder to check the accuracy of Paul's recipe. Escaping from Ashka in the castle cells, Riana disguises herself as a castle worker to hide in plain site. After witnessing Paul helping Ashka and Gryvon make gunpowder, Riana alerts Correon to Ashka's deception. The two groups all converge on the ruins of a Spellbinder castle that was destroyed in The Darkness time to witness the testing of Paul's gunpowder. Despite the successful test, Ashka refuses to release Paul. Correon lures Ashka away from the castle and confronts Gryvon who has been left to watch Paul. Correon orders Paul released, he now sees that Paul's knowledge is too dangerous for this world and must be returned to his own home. When Gryvon runs off, Paul falls into the old ruins when he and Riana give chase. On Paul's world, Katrina arranges for her and Alex to return to the site of Paul's disappearance by joining a literature camp. Episode 8 Down inside the ruins of the ancient Spellbinder castle, Correon finds lost Spellbinder artefacts including plans for powersuits and flying ships. He also makes a startling discovery — it wasn't the Marauders that caused The Darkness but the Spellbinders themselves when they tried to increase their powers. Paul thinks The Darkness could be the description of a nuclear winter. Correon calls the ancient Spellbinders arrogant fools and believes Ashka is starting down the same path. Back at the castle, Ashka realises she's been tricked into returning by Correon. Overhearing Correon radio the other Regents his intention on sending Paul back to his own world, Ashka asks for, and is granted, the Regent's permission to stop him. At their literature camp, Alex and Katrina slip away to try and work out what happened to Paul. Somehow Alex's radio picks up Ashka's alert about Paul. After searching out walkie talkies to try and talk, Alex and Katrina are found out after hours by the teacher and are sent to bed. Pursued by Ashka in a flying ship, Riana destroys Correon's Eyestone to keep them from being tracked, the group then diverts to Riana's home of Clayhill to take an unwell Correon to see the Healer. When Riana's mum finds Gryvon tied up in the barn the next morning, she releases him, but the others are already long gone. Alex is just getting into discussion at the camp when Katrina pulls him away to try the walkie talkies. Meanwhile, at the Summoning Tower, Correon attempts to recreate the circumstances of Paul's arrival using his powersuit. He is able to open a weak portal to Paul's world where Alex and Katrina are on hand to see it — and Paul on the other side! However, Correon's powersuit fails before the portal can fully open and Paul and Correon must retreat when Gryvon and his father arrive. Encouraged by the portal, Katrina and Alex's try to use their walkie talkies. Their signal is picked up by Ashka in her flying ship but once again, the teacher arrives to interrupt — their ruse has been discovered. At another Summoning Tower, Correon, Paul and Riana are set upon by Marauders. Episode 9 Correon tries to use his powersuit to fend off the Marauders but it is to no avail and the three are captured. Surprisingly, one of their Marauder captors is Zander who was rescued from banishment by the Marauders. Paul sabotages the Summoning Tower to prevent an approaching Ashka from following them in her flying ship, and Paul, Correon and Riana depart with the Marauders. Seeing Paul's footprints at the tower, Ashka is determined to find him to stop Paul from giving the Marauders the secret to gunpowder which would put the Spellbinders at their mercy. After leading Ashka and Gryvon astray, Paul, Riana and Correon are blindfolded and lead to the Marauder's hidden camp. The Marauders want to punish the Spellbinder Correon and, despite Paul's protest, vote to banish him to the wastelands, a development that would prevent Paul from getting back home. That night, Paul releases Correon and the two attempt to escape but they get lost in the maze-like rock formations surrounding the camp. On Paul's world, Katrina's parents have forbidden her from seeing Alex and no one believes their story about Paul's disappearance, it is simply too fantastic. Alex thinks his friend Nathan, who works with electronics, can help. Earning his friend's sympathy with a sob story about his and Katrina's forbidden relationship, Alex asks for Nathan's help to rig a radio and recording device so they can have proof for Paul's dad. Episode 10 Paul and Correon are found in the rock labyrinth by Riana and Zander who, now convinced that Paul is from another world, agrees to help him escape — even if it means helping a Spellbinder. They are soon discovered by the rest of the Marauders who are determined to keep Paul away from the Spellbinders in order to obtain the secret to gunpowder for themselves. The Marauders show Paul the wastelands and threatens to send Correon there unless Paul helps them. Hoping to dissuade them, Correon shows them the ancient Spellbinder text he found that tells how the ancient Spellbinders' hunger for knowledge almost destroyed the world. Correon volunteers to be banished to keep the knowledge of gunpowder safe. Meanwhile, Alex and Katrina blackmail his brother Nick into driving them back up into the mountains to where Paul disappeared. Once there, Katrina and Alex set up their equipment and are able to listen in on Ashka and Gryvon's Eyestone communications. Realising Paul is in danger, they turn up their stereo to warn Paul. The music (Chocolate Rapper) is loudly played out over Ashka and Gryvon's Eyestones which are quickly discarded. Alerted to the danger, everyone in the camp flees into the labyrinth but in the commotion, Paul and Zander are caught by Ashka and Gryvon while Correon is recaptured by the Marauders. Riana locates Ashka's discarded Eyestone but Katrina and Alex are unable to hear her response. While the Marauders are rejoicing at having an Eyestone to monitor Spellbinder activity, Riana departs in an attempt to find Paul to tell him his friends are trying to contact him. Ashka destroys the ancient Spellbinder text to book, not wanting the Regents to learn the mistakes of the past and not pursue Paul's gunpowder. Ashka takes Paul back to the castle bu having escaped, Zander tries to convince the Marauders to release Correon so he can bring peace to the two groups. Back at the castle, Ashka tells the other regents that Correon was killed by the Marauders and is given authority to do what ever it takes to subdue the Marauders. Paul is returned to the castle cellar and Ashka demands he produce gunpowder. Meanwhile, Correon has been released by the Marauders and has returned to the castle. In his dishevelled state he isn't recognised by the guards but manages to slip into the castle during a commotion Paul has created in the cellar while supposedly making gunpowder. Escaping from the cellar, Paul makes his way to the Regents chamber and tells them of Ashka's deception. Ashka tries to silence Paul but her lie is exposed when Correon bursts into the room. Episode 11 Ashka stops Correon from telling the Regents about the Spellbinders being the cause of the Darkness by invoking Spellbinder law, challenging him to a duel for calling her a liar. Back at the Marauders camp, Zander stops Riana from returning to the castle — she knows too much about them. She appeals to him saying hat although he can't go home after being banished, he can at least help Paul return to his home. Zander relents and leads her out of the labyrinth. Paul helps Correon prepare for his challenge against Ashka but Gryvon sneaks into Correon's chambers and sabotage's Correon's power suit. After seeing Correon off to the challenge, Paul returns to Correon's room where he comes across evidence of Gryvon's tampering. Paul rushes to stop the challenge but is not allowed entry. Paul is able to distract the two guards using his video camera but it is too late, Correon's powersuit has failed and Ashka has won. Accordingly, the Regents renounce Correon as a Spellbinder and orders his banishment. Before Correon leaves, Paul gives him his radio so he can listen in to the Spellbinders' communications Riana arrives at the castle and climbs the wall to gain entry. She sees Paul held captive and follows him to Ashka who has moved in to Correon's study. Paul uses his camera to secretly record Ashka admitting to her plan to defeat the Regents and take over. Gryvon sees this and tries to stop Paul but Riana arrives in time to help Paul escape. Pursued through the castle, Paul and Riana, who has told Paul that Katrina has been trying to contact him, stumble upon the Spellbinders' energy source deep under the castle. When Ashka corners them, Paul disrupts the power centre, and the magnetic properties of the metal frame attract Ashka in her powersuit, trapping her. Gryvon comes to Ashka's aid and at Ashka warning, removes his own powersuit. With everyone helping Ashka, Riana and Paul slip away, taking Gryvon's powersuit. With no other option left to them, Paul and Riana climb into a Spellbinder flying ship to make their escape. Paul is unable to master the controls as Ashka and Gryvon close in. Meanwhile, Alex continues to try to contact Paul but is having no luck. Episode 12 Paul and Riana escape the Spellbinder castle in the flying machine. While travelling back to Riana's home of Clayhill, Paul is able to use the Eyestone in the flying machine to contact Alex and Katrina back on his world and arranges for them to recreate the conditions that opened the portal. Paul plays back Ashka's confession from his video camera for the Regents who are also listening in. Hearing this, Ahska takes the drastic measure of shutting down the castle's power stones to stop the transmission. This also causes a power loss in the flying machine and Paul and Riana crash to the ground. Trapped under the wreckage, Paul is freed with the help of a passing farmer who mistakes Paul for a Spellbinder since he is wearing the powersuit. In search of a healer for Paul, they come across a community of woodcutters who take them in. Paul enjoys his new-found status as a Spellbinder but he and Riana must again flee into the forrest when they are revealed as impostors. Paul and Riana stumble across Ashka and her guards and escape by jumping into the river. Washed ashore downstream, Paul and Riana finally reach Clayhill. Riana is reluctant to enter the village, hoping if she stays away from her family, they will be safe from any reprisals by the Spellbinders. Finding them taking for a chain to help oven the portal, Riana's father wants to turn Paul over to the Spellbinders for endangering Riana but she convinces him to help Paul in return for all he's done for their family. Unfortunately, it may be too late, the Summoner has spotted them. Meanwhile, in Paul's world, Alex and Katrina are unable Paul's father that they've found Paul — in a parallel world, and in the wastelands, an exhausted Correon is found by Zander and Lukan. Episode 13 After sending Riana home, her father demands an explanation from Paul as to why the Spellbinders are after them. Paul shows him the video of Ashka's confession, explaining he wants Riana to show it to the Regents. Ashka and Gryvon report to the Regents at the castle that Paul was washed away in the river, ending the threat of an invasion from his world. However, when the Summoner reports in that Paul and Riana are in fact in his village, Ashka departs for Clayhill with Gryvon, determined to recover Paul's camera with her confession. Back in Clayhill, the Summoner bursts into Riana's home and detains Paul, intending to take him to the Spellbinders to be judged. On hearing that her family will face punishment for helping Paul, Riana's mother has a change of heart in regards to the Spellbinders and helps Paul escape by giving the Summoner and his men a sleeping potion. On Paul's world, Alex helps a grounded Katrina sneak out of her house and the two catch a train and befriend a nun at the train station to get a ride to the school camp. Arriving at Clayhill to find Paul and his camera gone, Ashka and Gryvon head to the Summoning Tower where they expect to find Paul. In hiding, Riana overhears their plans and sets out to help Paul. At the Summoning Tower, Paul connects the chain to short out the tower but no portal appears. Ashka and Gryvon arrive at the tower and attempt to stop Paul. Upon hearing Katrina radio Paul that she and Alex are in position, Ashka pretends to be Riana and responds that it's safe to open the gateway. With Riana's help, Paul escapes from Gryvon but finds Ashka standing between him and the portal which opened when Alex and Katrina put up the cable on their world. Ashka tries to stop Paul using her powersuit but only manages to damage the Summoning Tower and Paul returns to his world through the portal. Seeing Ashka about to attack Riana back on the other side of the portal, Paul pulls his friend through the portal into his world. As he does, the damaged Summoning Tower fails, closing the portal, stranding Riana in Paul's world. Episode 14 Paul promises Riana he'll help her find a way home and suggests she look at her time in his world as a holiday and a chance to see his world. Riana, afraid for her family's safety, is not as enthused. Before heading back to the city, Paul suggests they keep everything that has happened a secret to protect Riana. Alex and Katrina reluctantly agree as Riana marvels at the sight of Sydney in the distance. Travelling back to the city, Riana gets separated from the other at the train station and wanders out into the city on her own. Paul meanwhile is picked up by the police. At the police station he is identified and soon his father and sister are there to pick him up and bring him home. Paul tries to tell his father about his time in the world of the Spellbinder but, having been cautioned by the doctor that checked out Paul, simply humours his fantastical stories. Paul's sister Christine however is quit taken by Paul's tales of adventure. Back on Riana's world, her family is preparing to leave Clayhill when AShka and Gryvon arrive in search of Paul's camera. To protect his family, Riana's father, Bron, takes the camera flees into the forrest. Pursued by Gryvon and his men. At the Marauder village, Correon, using the recovered eyestone, hears that Bron is being pursued and goes off to find him first to learn what has happened to Paul. Zander is first to locate Bron and brings him to Correon who learns that Paul has gone back to his own world. Despite Bron's actions, Ashka finds Riana's mother and siblings. Alone after getting separated from her friends, Riana finds herself alone in the strange new city. Episode 15 Lost, Riana befriends Josie, a homeless girl, when she helps her little brother escape from two bullies. Josie takes Riana back to the abandoned warehouse where she lives with her brother. Struggling with their differences, Riana confides in Josie that she is from another world but is dejected when she's not believed. The next morning, Riana is found by two well-meaning Salvation Army Officers and taken to a hospital for an injury incurred while she was trying to escape. Paul's father continues to humour his son's stories but doesn't want to go so far as to help Paul search the city for Riana. Returning to school, Paul enlists Alex to help in his search for Riana but the task is just too big. Fortunately, when they return to Paul's house, Josie has left Paul a message on the answering machine telling him that Riana was taken to hospital. Excited at the opportunity to finally prove his story, Paul tries to get his father to go with him to the hospital but must go alone when his father refuses, upset that Paul is still persisting in his fantasy. The hospital is another strange place for Riana but she is soon reunited with Paul but he is unable to get her out on his own now that she is being seen by a psychiatrist. Riana's attempt to escape the hospital on hre own is short lived. Meanwhile, Ashka burns down Bron's cottage when Riana's mother will not reveal her husband's whereabouts. She then threatens to burn the entire village to the ground if Bron is not turned over to her. Determined to prove his story to his father, Paul goes over to Alex's house to retrieve the power suit. Needing to recharge the power stones, Alex gets them into the dockyards where his father works where they are able to to use a powerful electromagnet to recharge the stones but when Paul shows off the suit for Alex, it disrupts the electrical supply, playing havok with lights and setting off alams. Episode 16 Paul and Alex return to Paul's house but his father is working late, Alex however is quite pleased to meet Gina, the young woman who has been hired to look after Paul and Christine. Armed with the powersuit, Paul phones his father but he is consumed with his work. When Bron shows Correon the video of Ashka confessing her plans to overthrow the Spellbinders, Correon wants to return to the castle immediately to expose Ashka but they are side-tracked by Bron wanting to return to Clayhill to check on his family. Katrina, Paul and Alex arrive at the hospital only to discover that, because of her escape attempt, Riana has been relocated to the security ward. Ashka and Gryvon take Maran her children to the castle but along the way, Riana's young sister Arla escapes, eventually meeting up with her father, Correon and Zander outside the village. Spotted by the villagers, they must flee back into the forrest. Determined to get Riana out of the hospital, Paul slips out of the house with the power suit and with Alex and Katrina's help, gains entry to the security ward, freeing Riana. Paul brings Riana back to his house and intends to tells his father about her the next morning but Paul gets distracted by a news report of the hospital breakout. Paul promises Riana he'll tell his father later and leaves Riana alone while the family leaves for the day. Left alone in the house, Riana does her best to make herself at home in the strange surroundings. After school, Paul returns to find the house a mess. He tries to clean up but Christine arrives home and encounters Riana. Episode 17 Christine promises her brother she'll help keep Riana a secret on one condition — that Paul help her get their father and Gina together. Riana wants to go to school with Paul to see more of what his world is like. Paul reluctantly agrees and passes her off as her cousin from Iceland. Riana is missing home but upon learning the eyestone is damaged beyond repair, Paul hopes to use Alex's radio — but it has been confiscated by Mr Kennett. Alex and Katrina's apologies fail to earn it back so the kids devise a trojan toffee trolley to sneak Riana into Mr Kennett's office to retrieve the radio. Afterwards, Katrina borrows Paul's grocery money to take Riana shopping at the mall where Riana again runs into Josie. Katrina wants her shot at trying the powersuit but Paul when adamantly refuses, she goes to Alex's house and takes it. After a misunderstanding at Paul's rugby practice, an upset Riana retreats back to the mall where she endlessly rides the escalator. Meanwhile, Zander, Bron, Correon and Arla have made their way to the Spellbinder castle. While Bron and Zander provide distractions, Correon slips inside where he confronts Ashka with Paul's video of her confession. Sensing she is to be banishment, Ashka flees the castle. After having no luck with the radio at first, a transmission from Correon tells Paul of Ashka's downfall and the repair of the Summoning Tower meaning it is possible for Riana to return home. Excited at the news, Paul and Alex return for the power suit but find it gone. Police meanwhile have found Riana, intending to take her back to the hospital. Episode 18 Having successfully evading the police, Riana seeks out Josie at the warehouse. After learning from Alex's brother that Katrina came by the house for the suit, Alex and Paul arrive at Katrina's house in time to witness the electrical chaos she causes upon accidentally activating it. Paul returns home Christine tells him that Riana had to run from police. Paul tries to find her himself but is unsuccessful, returning home to his father' many unanswerable questions. Riana helps Josie in her search for her father. They learn his name from the registry office but are unable to find him. Skipping school to look for Riana, Paul and Alex follow clues left by Riana that lead them to the warehouse where Riana tells Paul she wants to stay the night with Josie to see if her father will come to see her. Returning home, Paul contacts Correon to tell him to prepare to open the gateway. To cover up another trip to the camp site, Paul tells his father that he's been invited to go fishing with Alex and his father. When his father wants to phone Alex's dad to confirm, Alex rushes home to answer the phone call. When the warehouse is set upon by three young gang members, Riana and Josie are able to drive them off but the next morning they return. Episode 19 Paul and Alex arrive at the warehouse to see Riana, Josie and Ben being chased by the street kids but Paul dons the powersuit and quickly fends them off with a few power bolts. With the police enroute, Josie decides it would be for the best for Ben and herself if they turn themselves in, however, at that moment her long lost father arrives and gets the kids past the police. The police however find Alex's lost wallet at the warehouse and also run into Katrina who has arrived late. Needless to say, her parents are not pleased when she is brought home. Needing money to replace the train ticket's that were lost along with Alex's wallet, Paul asks sister who turns over her saving. Christine also gives Riana her necklace as a keepsake. In the Spellbinder world, Ashka follows Correon to the Summoning Tower and watches as Correon opens the portal to Paul's world. Riana brings Paul back across so he can personally return Correon's powersuit and return to her village to say goodbye to her family. Paul reluctantly agrees to return to Riana's village but insists the portal be closed so no one else can go through. Observing Paul's return to her world, Ashka is intrigued by Riana's tales about how everything in Paul's world is bigger, faster and more powerful, she is especially curious about computers. As Riana is welcomed home by her grateful family, Ashka reunites with a humiliated Gryvon, now labouring for Bron's family. Ashka is determined to go to Paul's world to gain knowledge and power but needs Gryvon's help. Gryvon starts a fire to distract the villagers while Ashka steals Correon's powersuit. Riana sees her running off into the forrest and follows her but she is captured by Ashka who take her to a cave to question her about Paul's world. Episode 20 Paul, Correon and Bron leave Clayhill in search of Riana. Paul finds the necklace Christine gave Riana and is able to track her to the cave where Ashka has taken her. Riana does her best to give Ashka misinformation about Paul's world, stressing the dangers, but Ashka sees through her deception and is determine to travel to Paul's world where she plans to use Paul get his scientist father to do her bidding. Paul is the first to find Ashka and Riana. Ashka promises to release release Riana if Paul comes with her into the cave but with distraction caused by the arrival of Gryvon and Correon, Paul and Riana are able to fight off Ashka and her sidekick until Bron arrives. Ashka and Gryvon flee to the Summoning Tower where Ashka opens the gateway to Paul's world and goes through. Paul, Riana and Correon are close behind but think they've arrived first. Paul quickly says his goodbyes and return to his own world, unaware that Ashka has preceded him through the gateway and is able to follow him back into the city where she creates mayhem with every encounter, stealing vehicles, food and robbing a store. Back at home, Paul believes everything is back to normal once again (apart from Katrina who is very upset at being grounded and missing out on seeing Riana's world), but he soon realises Ashka has come through into his world when news reports of her crimes begin to appear. Episode 21 Paul warns Alex that Ashka is in their world and the two devise a class project to build a magnetic field detector to track Ashka. It is also just the project to get Katrina talking to them again. However, Katrina again gets in trouble with mum when she's seen kissing Alex as a ruse to get the radios back from Nathan. Paul and Alex scour the city in an attempt to locate Ashka but it is Katrina, working independently with nothing more than a compass, who locates her first in an abandoned refinery. Never having met Ashka before, Katrina believes her claim to be a Regent named Marna and agrees to show her around in exchange for the promise of seeing the Spellbinder world. Ashka convinces Katrina to keep her presence a secret so Katrina books her into a hotel, promising to bring her lots videos to study. When Ashka decides to rob an armour van using her powersuit, it triggers the boys' detectors, allows them to trace Ashka to the hotel where she is staying. Meanwhile, Riana tales of the wonders of Paul's world begin to wear thin with her family who are frustrated by her wandering mind. Episode 22 Paul sends Alex to search the hotel for Ashka disguised in a clown suit and after obtaining Ashka room key and arrange a meeting to draw her out of the hotel, the boys sneak into her room to retrieve the powersuit. When Katrina arrives with books on war for Ashka, she is shocked to learn that she has been helping Ashka. The three make their escape when Ashka returns but when cornered in an alley, Paul has no choice but to destroy the powersuit in the compactor of a garbage truck. The kids return to the hotel to retrieve the stolen money so as to return it, but Ashka has already taken it. Frustrated, Alex yells at Katrina for helping Ashka. Paul inadvertently leads Ashka back to his home allowing her to then follow his father to his place of work, Magnetronix Inc. Back on the Spellbinder world, as instructed, Gryvon opens the portal at dawn for Ashka to return. Gryvon steals some new clothes for Ashka but is spotted by Riana who follows him into the forrest where she finds signs of Ashka having been to Paul's world. Determined to warn Correon, Riana sets off for the castle. Gryvon gets into the castle where he finds Zander, and tells Correon a story about how he was attacked by a crazed Ashka who has plans to destroy the Marauders. Correon and Zander depart the castle hoping to stop Ashka allowing Gryvon the opportunity to steal the power stones Ashka needs. Riana arrives at the castle too late to warn Correon who has departed in a flying ship. She observes Gryvon leaving the castle and follows him to the ruins where he meets up with Ashka. Inside the vault, Ashka obtains the book that tells how to built powersuits and flying ships. Riana films Ashka telling Gryvon of her plan to take the book to Paul's world to have their scientists build what she needs to conquer the Spellbinders. Found by Gryvon, Riana is left behind in the vault as the entrance is sealed over. Episode 23 Freeing herself from the underground vault of the ancient spellbinders, Riana returns to the castle to warn Correon but he is not there. Stealing a horse to return to her village, Riana asks for her father to meet her at the Summing Tower but Ashka has already reopened the portal and returned to Paul's world with the stolen money, the ancient Spellbinders' book and the stolen powerstones. Before Gryvon can close the portal, Riana sneaks through, returning to Paul's world. Ashka returns to Magnetronix Inc where she passes herself off as Mrs Harley, an archaeologist's widow in search of help completing work from a lost text. Intrigued by Ashka and her story, Paul's father agrees to help her. Riana makes her way into the city but just misses Paul at home, seeing him and his family drive off. When the family returns, Brian, his mind preoccupied with work, goes back to the lab. Waiting for Paul, Riana warns him Ashka she is far from powerless and must to be stopped now that she is armed with the knowledge within the old Spellbinder book. In his lab, Brian spends the entire night working on a new, more powerful powersuit, much to Ashka's delight when she arrives the next morning to check his progress. Amazed by the powers of the suit, Brian is convinced with enough power, the suit could provide the ability to fly. Called away to attend to sick his sick daughter, Brian invites Ashka to the house to finish their work. Suspecting the only way to stop Ashka is to tells his father about Ashka, calling Correon to open the portal to provide proof if need be, Paul returns home from school to discover his father and Ashka working together on the new powersuit. Episode 24 Paul desperately tries to warn his father about Ashka but Brian is not interested in more of his son's stories and takes Ashka back to his lab to continue their work. Paul returns to his school where Riana informs Paul she still has his video of Ashka revealing her plans of conquest. Returning home, Paul finds himself locked out by his scared sister and must climb in through his bedroom window to retrieve the camera. Sneaking Riana into his father's lab, where Brian has enhanced AShka's suit with the ability to fly, Paul is able to get his father away from Ashka to show him the video tape but Ashka suspects something is up and uses the new suit to interfere with the tape. Further hindering Paul's efforts to prove his story, Ashka incapacitates Riana, keeping Brian from seeing her, and spirits Riana away in her car, taking her to an abandoned building where Riana is tied up. Back at home, Paul continues to try to convince his father of what he's saying but only results in his father calling a doctor. Needing support, Paul goes in search of Alex. Alex, who is unaware Riana and Ashka have returned, is just wanting life to get back to normal and isn't interested in helping Paul. Katrina is similarly uninterested in helping Paul who has burned one too many bridges with her. Ashka arrives back at the Reynolds' home where she is warmly welcomed by Christine who, like her father, is falling under Ashka's charms. Paul returns home but is unsuccessful in his attempt to steal the power suit and retreats to his room. Later, Ashka offers Paul a deal, allow her to finish the power suit and return to her world and his family and Riana won't be harmed. Episode 25 Brian tries to get a dejected Paul excited about his new, world changing invention, a flying suit. Paul seizes upon his sister's idea of preparing a special celebratory breakfast and slips a little something extra into Ashka's food, keeping her occupied while Paul swaps a faulty control circuit into the suit before his father takes it to work. Paul makes another attempt to recruit Alex and Katrina, this time armed with proof — a photo of his father with Ashka and the powersuit. Paul returns home with his friends but it is too late, Ashka and his father have left. With nothing left to do but to look for Riana, they manage to track her to the abandoned building. After waiting for Ashka to return to Brian's lab, Paul is able to free Riana while Alex and Katrina find themselves being taken back to school by the police. At Brian's lab, the faulty flight control unit prevents the suit from working, upsetting Ashka. When Paul arrives, the distraction created by his unpaid taxi driver gives Paul another chance to get his father alone to show him the video tape of Ashka, and finally introduce him to Riana. Finally unmasked, a soggy Ashka corners Paul, his father and Riana, demanding the powersuit's flight control unit. Episode 26 Captured by Ashka before they can escape the lab, Riana, Paul and his father are locked inside the lab's Faraday Cage and can only watch as Ashka destroys Brian's work before leaving for the Reynolds home where she intends to retrieve the powersuit's working flight control unit. Using liquid Nitrogen to weaken the cage, the three escape and pursue of Ashka. Unable to phone Christine to warn her, Paul radios Alex who is in the middle of an exam. Katrina and Alex leave school and rush to Paul's house where Katrina retrieves the FCU. Ashka arrives soon after with Brian, Riana and Paul close behind. Converging in the home office, Brian struggles with Ashka allowing Christine to grab the FCU and throw it to Paul outside. Paul and Riana flee into the shipping yard with Ashka close behind. Cornering Riana, Ashka simply uses the powersuit to draw the FCU out of Riana's hand and into her own. With the suit fully enabled, Ashka rises into the air, proclaiming that Riana will never see her family again. Paul, having gone for help, returns with Alex's father who uses the strong magnet in his forklift to capture Ashka, pinning her to the machine. With the powersuit damaged and powerstones destroyed, a defeated Ashka pleads to be released but Riana intends to take her back to her world where she belongs. Back on the Spellbinder world, Gryvon once again returns to the Summoning Rower to reopen the portal for Ashka, not expecting her to come back a prisoner. Correon names Riana as his new apprentice and announces his intention to share the Spellbinders' knowledge with everyone. After saying his good-bye's Paul, adamant the doorway to his world never be allowed to be opened again, returns through the portal before Riana removes the eyestone from the tower one last time, forever closing the portal t Paul's world. Back at school, Katrina has a surprise for Paul and Alex... she's saved a copy of the powersuit research from Paul's father's office. Realising what they have, Paul inquires, "are you guys thinking what I'm thinking?"
