Gascoigne moves on the Charity Tax bill, putting newly promoted Dion and Taz under more pressure than ever. Juno discovers a concerning rumour about one of the pastors at U Star. Eli‘s brush with mortality exposes a crisis of faith.

In a live online cross with American Pastors Mitch and Kasey Leeway, the Quinns — including an uncomfortable Jed — promote the upcoming launch of U Star LA. With the Charity Tax bill set to pass, Cal pre-emptively announces that Dion will take over as Senior Pastor in Sydney following the launch of U Star LA. Eli abruptly leaves and collapses in his car, telling a security guard he’s having a stroke. Eli survives, but when Cal drives him home, Eli reveals his struggles with his faith after his near death experience. Juno meets Alice, the woman who previously rented the room in her share house. Alice reveals U Star forced her out after one of the pastors in the church laid hands on her. Before she can name names, Tayla arrives, forcing Alice to leave and dismissing Alice’s claim as lies.

Worried that he’s inheriting a poisoned chalice, Dion goes to Jonathan for reassurance that U Star is not a political target. In the heat of the moment, Dion impulsively kisses Jonathan, who gently turns him down. Meanwhile, Taz, feeling the gulf between her and Dion, meets with the father from her daughter’s school and the two have sex.

Eli confesses to Cal that he no longer believes in God and hasn’t for years. Cal responds by firing Eli, telling him he can’t work with a non-believer. Eli reveals there was someone else present when Rosa died that fateful night. Cal confronts Abi, who admits she was at the cliffs but refuses to take the blame. All hell is finally unleashed between Cal and Abi.
