Daniel and Edward believe that they have a special connection as a result of a near death experience they had at the exact same time for the same amount of time six years ago — and they're not the only ones — Michael, Gina, Frances and Saul all experienced the same thing. Michael is disbelieving of Daniel's claims but Daniel does tell him that Edward is a loose cannon and that the people of Two Gardens including Ryan are in grave danger. Daniel exposes Sophie's lies to Michael and he's forced to side with him and go into Two Gardens to try and stop Edward and The Commencement before it's too late.
