In the aftermath of their victory over the Technos, the Mall Rats let their guard down and two of the captured Technos, Wizard and Stats, escape. Mouse pulls Sammy out of Paradise to tell him the Technos have been defeated but he's not interested. Mega meets with Java who has been confined to her room under guard and announces the success of their plan. Salene, Patch, Dee, and Tai-San are all missing and Lex wants to start searching for them but Amber says it is too early to worry and wants to focus on what to do with the Technos. Elsewhere, Salene is captured by Wizard and Stats who intend to trade her for Ram. The pair approach May at the casino and tell her about the deal they want to make and blindfold her to take her to where they're holding Salene. Lex goes to see Java and demands to know where Tai-San is. Java offers to tell him what she knows if he uses his influence with the Mall Rats to free her. When he refuses, she vows to bring him down by telling the other Mall Rats all about his schemes. Mega works to restore power when it goes out but he can't get past Ram's computer security. Trudy finds a distressed Ebony who tells her Zoot has returned but Ebony is the only one who can see him in the room. May returns to the mall with news that the escaped Technos are holding Salene and will kill her if Ram isn't returned. Mega goes back to the scrap yard to collect Ram but finds only his empty wheelchair — a stranger has already rescued him and taken him to the town of Liberty.©tzuk

Salene and Ellie are discussing Jay and Amber's punishment when Gel remarks that she doesn't think it will be that bad since they won't remember they ever loved one another. Mega declines Jay's request that he show some mercy and spare Amber. Ram doesn't think the rebels are ready to strike but Jay and Amber's imminent punishment forces their hand. Salene comforts Trudy who feels bad for inadvertently helping Mega capture Jay and Amber and asks if it appears she took revenge for their betrayal of her with their relationship. Mega allows Jay and Amber to spend their final moments together while they can still remember one another. Gel tells Sammy she likes him the way he is and he doesn't have to prove himself to her. Ram warns Lex of the danger Ebony poses and suggests she could come to an accident during the attack. Elsewhere, a holding pen on an otherwise empty beach contains a number of prisoners — including Alice. May sneaks back into the city on a supply truck to tell the Mall Rats about the imminent attack. Slade apologise to Ruby for Ram's lie about his illness. Trudy convinces Mega to let her say good-bye to Jay and Amber but tells them to play along with the memory wipe because Ram is working to disable Mega's systems. Before Trudy leaves, Amber asks her to look after her son if things don't work out. Back on the beach, more kids are brought to be locked up. KC is among them. Trudy leads the Mall Rats in a positive thinking exercise as Jay and Amber's punishment is broadcast on CityNet. As Ram and Jack work on hacking Mega's systems, Jay and Amber's memories are erased. Their punishment complete, Mega releases Jay and Amber. As they leave, Amber is amazed she still has her memory but Jay is not as fortunate.©tzuk

After his confession about not being sick, Ruby calls Slade a liar, a cheat and a coward — "poor qualities for a man... or a father". Jack is confused to find Ram working alone behind his locked door while apparently talking to someone. At the beach, KC and Alice discuss their time on Labour Island and KC reveals he was just with Bray a few days ago. Among the newest arrivals at the holding pens is The Guardian. Amber returns to the mall with Jay but all attempts to jog his memory fail. Ram sends Mega a video message taunting him. Ram joins the rebels as they make final preparations and tells them Mega's system is set to crash at noon precisely. As they depart, Ram reminds Lex to make sure "nothing bad" happens to Ebony. Amber thanks Trudy for saving her and Jay and the two agree to leave their past in the past. As the rebel army marches on the city, Amber rallies the Mall Rats to join the fight. Mega tightens his defences around the hotel as the rebels advance. Lex reluctantly intervenes to save Ebony from an attacker. Back at the mall, Jay questions Trudy and Ellie about which side of the fight he's supposed to be on. Mega is unable to access his automated pharmacy. Ram packs up his computers in Liberty to return to the city. With the Technos defeated, Amber addresses the united tribes and Sammy steals a kiss from Gel when he realises they've won.
