The Povey family finally meets their tribal hosts, but they're not happy about the primitive living conditions and threaten to walk out. Meanwhile in Africa, the women are angry that they have to do all the hard work while the men in the tribe do very little. The girls struggle with the rule that they can't wash while staying with the tribe and get a rude shock when they learn about bush toilets!

The Povey family face their first night with the Mentawai tribe. In Zululand Vicki and Ashley have been punished by the tribe for having a dirty hut. And in Namibia, dad Michael must undergo his punishment from the Himba tribe by shaving all his hair off.

The Povey women get a lesson in fishing but they're horrified when dad Tony comes back with a pig to be slaughtered. In Namibia, Sasha is punished for washing with water - a tribal taboo. And in Zululand the men are ordered to do the women's work.

The Australian families share some Aussie culture with the tribes. The Sherry boys introduce the Zulus to Aussie Rules, while in Indonesia the tribe are fascinated when they see photos of the Povey house and pets. In Namibia, Robert is challenged to a wrestling match against the strongest in the tribe.

It's the final day for our Aussie families. As they reflect on how the experience has changed them, each family member faces a final challenge. They must succeed in that task to finally be accepted as honorary members of the tribe.
