Episode 27

Rachel moves in and Hopper feels like his life has been upturned. Trish drags Frannie to the hospital to visit her father but she refuses to see him. Zac relishes his father's new job that will take him out of town for a week giving him and Edwina a chance to be alone together. Neville regains consciousness. Frannie goes to see her father after Hopper tells her she's being selfish.

Episode 28

Frannie expresses her hurt and anger at Neville and their relationship finds new ground. Hopper is conflicted in what he wants out of his relationship with Rachel. Coral and Belinda bump into Rachel on the street. Edwina's curfew gives her an excuse to end her evening with Zac early. Edwina's father grounds her for being twenty minutes but Holly comes down on Edwina's side of the argument.

Daniel's plan to get the truth out of Gordon about his mother's letter starts to involve Holly. Hopper confesses to Rachel he thinks they can make a go as a family when the baby comes. Empowered after talking with Belinda, Edwina tells Zac she's changed her mind about having sex. Maurie offers Coral his moral support after learning about Rachel. Challenged by Hopper's niceness, Rachel admits he's not the father of her baby. After another argument with Edwina, Holly wants to move into a hotel for a break but Gordon won't hear of it leaving the leaving to Edwina.

Edwina turns up on Zac's doorstep after moving out. When Gordon tracks her down and brings her home, Edwina tells her father she and Zac slept together. Marty offers to give Dean one of his old assignments in exchange for an introduction to Belinda. Daniel funds an equipment purchase for the hospital. Gordon feels betrayed as Edwina admits to lying about having sex with Zac.

Episode 31

Edwina decides not to tell Zac about her lie to Gordon. Daniel raises objections but relents when Gordon hires Shelley to work at the garden centre until she can begin her nursing studies. Trish agrees to let Neville come home to recuperate when he's released from hospital. Gordon lets Edwina go out to a dance club with Zac so long as she takes Shelley. Zac invites Dave to keep Shelley occupied only for Edwina to invite Frannie hoping to get her and Dave together.

Dave rescues Frannie night by taking her to see a movie after she isn't allowed into the club. Hopper tries to reconnect with Coral after Rachel's departure. Edwina confesses to Zac she told her father they slept together. Shelley gets into a dangerous situation with a guy she meets at the club. Coral asks Maurie if he's paying into her superannuation plan. Zac advises Dave to let down a love-struck Frannie gently.

Dave struggles to find the words to let down Frannie after Belinda reassured her that Dave is keen to see her again. Frannie is hurt but puts on a brave face. A hospital fundraiser gives Daniel a chance to increase his standing with Holly, much to Gordon's dismay. After failing to introduce the pair, Dean uses a school assignment as cover for helping Marty learn about Belinda's interests. Coral threatens to quit over Maurie's failure to contribute to her Super, but is left stunned when he reveals he has left the bakery to her in his will.

Episode 34

Daniel volunteers to head up Holly's new fundraising initiative at the hospital. He insists his motives are entirely altruistic but Gordon doesn't trust him. After studying Belinda's video in which she reveals her likes to Dean, Marty makes his move. Coral overhears Dean bragging to a mate about the scam and warns Dean to make sure her daughter doesn't end up hurt. Neville is released from hospital and moves back home — into the guest bedroom. Frannie is still not ready to forgive him.

Episode 35

Hopper worries there may be more to Daniel's loan after receiving a letter from Daniel's solicitor demanding he produce the Shed's books. When Hopper tries to back out of the loan, Daniel backs down. Darcy ropes Zac into cooking when he invites Trish over for dinner. Dave and Shelley grow closer while working together. Neville confesses to Dean the reason Trish threw him out.

Edwina's first step toward a big time modelling career costs more than she bargained for. With Marty and Belinda about to go on their first date, Dean warns him that Coral knows about the video. Neville doesn't like Trish spending time with Darcy and suggests he has feels for her. Frannie sees the incriminating videotape and tells Belinda who thinks it's cute that Marty went to all that trouble to get to know her.

Edwina's attempt to get herself out of financial trouble lands her in a deeper mess after she pawns her mother's locket. When Trish rejects Neville's surprise picnic lunch, he accuses her of not wanting to save their marriage and preferring Darcy's company. Witnessing his parent's argument, Dean warns Zac keep his father say away from Trish. Darcy assures Zac there's nothing going on between him and Trish and advises her to do her talking with Neville. Frannie is confrotned by Dave and Shelley's relationship at a party. Shelley accidentally breaks a vase that belonged to Edwina's mother.

Edwina goes off on Shelley for coming on to Dave in front of Frannie. Shelley later apologies to Frannie who is adamant she and Dave were only ever friends. Dean tells Zac and Edwina about Maurie's "sure thing" bet thinking she can win the money to buy back the locket but Maurie fed Dean a lie hoping he'd lose the gambling bug. Daniel captivates Holly with tales of his international travels. Edwina confesses everything to her father.

To Gordon's dislike, Holly spends more and more time with Daniel. Coral is also weary and advises Holly to be careful with Daniel. Belinda lies to Frannie about being sick to get out of their shopping plans so she can go out with Marty instead. Their friendship takes a hit when Frannie sees Belinda with Marty at the beach. Coral wins the hospital leading to an awkward conversation with Daniel when he delivers the prize about him wanting to talk about old times. Daniel manipulates Holly into moving their meeting from the hospital to his house.

Episode 40

Hopper accepts Coral's gift of her raffle prize, a chauffeured dinner for two, on the condition she go with him. He also tells her the truth about Rachel lying to him about being the father of her baby. Gordon breaks up Holly's meeting with Daniel to drag her home, insisting Daniel can't be trusted. Marty is pleased to learn Frannie is upset with Belinda and not him. Holly quits the hospital fundraising committee. When Daniel finds out, he threatens to withdraw his financial support forcing Holly go back. Belinda and Frannie start to mend their relationship.

When Holly visits Daniel to ask why he's pulled out of the fundraising campaign he makes it clear he only wants to work with her. Coral enjoys her evening out with Hopper and looks forward to taking things further. Gordon confronts Daniel about the games he's playing with Holly. Daniel is desperate to find out what Gordon's relationship was with his mother and the content of the mysterious letter. Gordon and Holly plan a holiday while Edwina plans as party. Hopper is puzzled by Coral's attitude towards Daniel.

Hopper senses there are secrets surrounding Coral and Daniel's past. Shelley is perplexed after her date with Dave during which he refuses to talk about his past. Then there's the mystery girl he denies knowing. Trish helps Darcy write a personal ad for the local newspaper. Edwina and Zac make plans to sleep together while her father and Holly are away. An upset Coral tells Daniel to stop making trouble for her.

Marty is ready to give up after one failed date but Zac pushes him to try again and he meets a frisky woman more his type. Marty maneuvers Frannie out of the way so he can partner with Belinda on a school essay competition. Coral puts on the brakes when things begin to get serious with Hopper. Belinda gets upset when her mother calls her a "mistake".

Trish allows Neville back into the bedroom. Edwina's party spirals out of control and comes to an end with the arrival of the police. Gordon proposes to Holly while on vacation. Edwina wants to hide the robbery from her father but Dave phones Gordon with the bad news. Darcy learns the hard way that his new girlfriend, Narelle, works in parking enforcement. After learning about the break-in, Daniel blames it on Gordon's lack of management accumen. Sgt. Murray initially suspects Dave and Zac of the robbery but they think the party crashers are responsible. Sgt Murray informs Gordon about the party.

Gordon and Holly keep their engagement a secret in light of the fallout from the party. A stray sock leads to Gordon making an accusation against Edwina. Belinda feels pushed aside as her mother spends more time with Hopper. Daniel accuses Gordon of killing his parents and looks deeper into their business dealings. Relieved of management responsibilities at the garden centre, a guilt-ridden Dave wants to repay the stolen money to Gordon by selling his art. Zac nabs the thieves at the Shed. Gordon apologises to Edwina for jumping to conclusions.

Frannie plans to produce an alternative school newspaper to keep herself busy and not thinking about — and dreaming about — Dave. Gordon refuses to take Dave's money for the robbery. Shelley finally gets a glimpse of Dave's personal life when he shows her his paintings. Hopper takes Coral out to a concert but Belinda once again feels forgotten when she gets locked out of the house in the rain. Dean tapes over his father's music collection to make his remix tapes.

Zac clashes with Maurie at the bakery dredging up an old family feud. Neville is excited to get a new company car but it is soon damaged. Neville is surprised to learn his new boss is Daniel Blake.

Trish insists to Hopper that Neville will only be working at the Shed until he finds another job. Daniel tries to embarrass Neville by bringing his former coworkers to the Shed for a corporate lunch. When the group's demands get too much for him, Neville walks out. Edwina is jealous of how Dave is always taking Shelley out somewhere nice so Zac wants to surprise her by making dinner. Dave agrees to draw Shelley's portrait. Gordon and Holly attempt to announce their engagement again.
