Bridie Carter is ready to return

AUSTRALIA fell in love with her on McLeod's Daughters and now Bridie Carter is back.

Carter has a guest role on Channel 7's new series Wild Boys, and she hopes it will lead to a more permanent return to television.

After leaving McLeod's Daughters, Carter had a brief return to the spotlight winning Dancing with the Stars in 2008, but most of the time she has been based in Byron Bay with her husband and two children, Otis, 6, and Tobias, 1.

She is now ready for a comeback to the spotlight.

"I'm in the right place now," she said.

"When you finish a long series like McLeod's Daughters you want a break, but I think I'm now ready to do a series again.

"I had such a wonderful time on Wild Boys, when I finished my little stint I said I'd be happy to come back to do more."
