The Secret Life of Us: articlesNew kids in on The Secret Life Of UsTHERE was no doubting the rekindled energy and enthusiasm yesterday afternoon on the set of Ten's 20-something drama series The Secret Life Of Us. The new cast members were strutting their stuff for the cameras in the Port Melbourne studios, where the show's interior scenes are being filmed. Director Ana Kokkinos calls "action" and newcomers Anna Torv and Alexandra Schepisi patiently work their way through their scene. Torv's character, receptionist Nikki, is attempting to coax her flatmate and best friend, science teacher Lucy (Schepisi), out of a bout of depression. Schepisi, the daughter of film director Fred, and Torv, along with Stephen Curry and Nicholas Coghlan, have joined the cast as producers look to breathe fresh life into the show's fourth season next year. Curry plays nurse Stewart and Coghlan plays stockbroker Adam. On hand to welcome the new kids to the block was Secret Life regular Michael Dorman, sporting a new short haircut. "They're a terrific bunch and we're having a ball," said Dorman, gathering the newcomers together for their first group photograph. Fifth new face Brooke Harman is set to join the Secret Life team, headed in 2004 by longtime regulars Deborah Mailman, Samuel Johnson and David Tredinnick.
