The Empty Ocean![]() Episode 1.1 Expert yachtsman and daredevil adventurer Paul Raymond sets sail from Samoa on his most dangerous and thrilling mission yet — to find the mythical treasure Robert Lewis Stevenson wrote about in his pirate masterpiece 'Treasure Island'. But when Paul's ship capsizes in a Pacific storm, he disappears without a trace. One year later, his wife Sally, daughter Jacqui and step-son Mark, set out to follow in his footsteps and find him. The merchants are lead my Frau Keller who sentences the trio of outsiders to be thrown off a cliff along with their technological evils. Raoul rides with Jacqui through the dangerous woods to his tribe, the Spanish Horse Lords, but are once again attacked by the Samurai warriors. Raoul and Jacqui arrive at the Horselord village. Don Grego, the leader of the Horse Lords, hopes to gain knowledge from the newcomers and will marry Jacqui to do so. Jacqui refuses to agree to marry Don Grego and manages to escape the village with help from Raoul. There he encounters Escovar. Danni finds Hans-Peter and Thea who have been kept captive by Karl. Hans-Peter tells her of the lost treasure and the map which they found on the wall of the cave. The occupation is short lived as the captives scare the Horse Lords off by pretending to be sick. Tempus leads Jacqui to the Merchant village where illness is spreading amongst its citizens. Mark, Hans-Peter, and Thea discover a mysterious stone ring on Spyglass Hill and unearth a dagger. Danni and Karl are joined in captivity by Raoul but the three manage to escape when their Horselord captors are attacked. Escovar finds the kids on Spyglass Hill. Raoul and Karl journey into the volcanic wastelands where they encounter Rosa who leads them to a fortress. There they meet her grandfather, Alessandro, Rauls finds his father's sword, and Karl a pirate flag inside an old sea chest. Hans-Peter goes to the shipwreak of search of a wind generator while Mark and Thea continue through the jungle and fall into a trap. They are rescued by Tempus only to be lead into another trap. After seperating from Raoul, Karl is captured by the Samurai. Raoul is captured by the Traders who believe that the Horse Lords are responsible for poisoning their water supply. The Old One's set bombs to blow up the submarine — just as Hans-Peter gets the wind generator. The submarine gets moving as the Raymond family escape from Dante. Once all are aboard, the submarine heads out to the fog gap in the Maelstrom — to go home.
