Expert yachtsman and daredevil adventurer Paul Raymond sets sail from Samoa on his most dangerous and thrilling mission yet — to find the mythical treasure Robert Lewis Stevenson wrote about in his pirate masterpiece 'Treasure Island'. But when Paul's ship capsizes in a Pacific storm, he disappears without a trace.

One year later, his wife Sally, daughter Jacqui and step-son Mark, set out to follow in his footsteps and find him. Along the way they take on board Thea, who is found drifting helplessly on a raft. Approaching the location of the island, a violent maelstrom engulfs the yacht and they are forced to abandon ship.

After washing ashore on Skeleton Island, Mark, Thea and Karl rescue a young woman who takes them to her village where they end up locked in cages. Leaving the yacht, Jacqui is chased by Samurai but is rescued by Raoul, of the Horselord tribe, when he throws her a rope to climb into a tree to escape her pursuer.©tzuk

Mark, Karl and Thea find themselves prisoners of Hamburg merchants whose ancestors were stranded on the island in the 19th Century. The merchants are lead my Frau Keller who sentences the trio of outsiders to be thrown off a cliff along with their technological evils. Raoul rides with Jacqui through the dangerous woods to his tribe, the Spanish Horse Lords, but are once again attacked by the Samurai warriors. Desperate to save their lives, Mark promises to use his computer to build a distillation system to supply the merchants with safe drinking water.©tzuk

Despite Mark providing the Merchants with clean water, Frau Keller decides that he, Karl and Thea must still be thrown over the cliff. Raoul and Jacqui arrive at the Horselord village. Don Grego, the leader of the Horse Lords, hopes to gain knowledge from the newcomers and will marry Jacqui to do so. With help from Hans-Peter, Mark and the others escape and flee into the jungle.©tzuk

The Old Ones

Mark boards the submarine where he meets the quirky Smith and Jones of the Royal Navy who recruit Mark and allow to go on a voyage to the wreck of his ship where he can get supplies and batteries for his computer. There he encounters Escovar. Danni finds Hans-Peter and Thea who have been kept captive by Karl. Hans-Peter tells her of the lost treasure and the map which they found on the wall of the cave. Meanwhile, Tempus takes Jacqui to her step-mother who is being held captive by the Samurai.©tzuk

Thea and Karl are captured during an attack by the Horse Lords but Thea and Hans-Peter are able to escape and are able to reunite with Mark who takes them onboard the submarine where they are surprised by Don Grego who has comandeered the boat. The occupation is short lived as the captives scare the Horse Lords off by pretending to be sick. Tempus leads Jacqui to the Merchant village where illness is spreading amongst its citizens. Mark, Thea and Hans-Peter leave the submarine to explore Spyglass Hill in search of the lost treasure.©tzuk

Jacqui is able to discover the sourse of the illness at the Trader village and gives out medicine to cure the sick. Mark, Hans-Peter, and Thea discover a mysterious stone ring on Spyglass Hill and unearth a dagger. Danni and Karl are joined in captivity by Raoul but the three manage to escape when their Horselord captors are attacked. Escovar finds the kids on Spyglass Hill.

After collapsing atop Spyglass Hill, Escovar is tied up by the kids but manages to excape in the night taking Mark's computer with him. Raoul and Karl journey into the volcanic wastelands where they encounter Rosa who leads them to a fortress. There they meet her grandfather, Alessandro, Rauls finds his father's sword, and Karl a pirate flag inside an old sea chest.

Raoul and Karl disguise themselves to escape the fortress and the patrolling Samurai. Jacqui and Danni board the submaine but are taken prisoner by Smith and Jones. Hans-Peter goes to the shipwreak of search of a wind generator while Mark and Thea continue through the jungle and fall into a trap. They are rescued by Tempus only to be lead into another trap. After seperating from Raoul, Karl is captured by the Samurai.

Thea shows Dante to a chest in the labrinth, in return he tells her that she was found wondering in the labrinth by The Shadows. Raoul is captured by the Traders who believe that the Horse Lords are responsible for poisoning their water supply. The Old One's set bombs to blow up the submarine — just as Hans-Peter gets the wind generator.

Raoul and Danni set about getting the Horse Lords and Traders to work together to fight their common enemy — Dante. The submarine gets moving as the Raymond family escape from Dante. Once all are aboard, the submarine heads out to the fog gap in the Maelstrom — to go home.
