Scoring a permanent role in Stingers, Daniel Frederiksen was excited to come on board as new rookie recruit, Leo Flynn, in his first major television role.

Hailing from Metcalfe in country Victoria, Daniel has had a great taste of the arts in the form of high school theatre roles plus more parts during a four-month sojourn in the US.

Daniel eventually moved to Melbourne and secured a place with NIDA — following it up with a regular role as Dr. Josh Carmichael in Blue Heelers, a guest role in Young Lions, a part in the pilot for a US based series, Mermaids, and various commercials.

He continued his film and theatre work down south with roles in Hellraiser III,Good Guys (produced by Jackie Chan), True Love and Chaos, and The Wall.

Of joining Stingers, Daniel has said, "I'm stoked to be working alongside actors I have admired for a long time. Blue Murder is an all-time classic piece of Australian television history, defining what the medium is capable of, and Gary and Peter were both in it. Kate and Jacinta are amazing to work with. I feel like an average-sized fish in an extra large pond. That said, I'm having the time of my life!"
