Stingers: articles

Recruits add sting to the tale

MEET Katrina Milosevic and Daniel Frederiksen, the two new young faces to join Channel 9's long-running undercover cop drama Stingers.

Both NIDA graduates, the Kyneton-raised Frederiksen and Brisbane-born Milosevic are still coming to terms with receiving the biggest boost to their careers.

"I couldn't believe it when my agent told me I'd landed the role after quite a few auditions," Milosevic said.

She will play administrative assistant Sophie Novak and Frederiksen will play probationary constable Leo Flynn, a kid from the wrong side of the tracks making good.

"You suddenly realise you're going to have a regular wage coming in for the first time in your life," Frederiksen said.

He was performing in a play in Queensland when he received the news.

Stingers returns to Nine shortly with a 40-episode season.
