The Twist children see a ghost dog, whom they discover to be the dog of old Ben Byron. Ben Byron was a sailor who jumped into the sea to save his dog when it was washed overboard. Both Ben and his dog drowned. When Pete touches the dog he is inflicted with a bizarre and embarrassing speech defect. The children discover that the ghost dog is attempting to recover and put back together the dispersed bones of Ben Byron so that his body can rest in peace. At the same time Mr Gribble wants to organise a treasure hunt around the bones of Ben Byron as a tourist stunt for the town.

Lighthouse Blues
