Princess Georgiana (Georgie) is the spare to the British throne but her party girl lifestyle and constant public scandals threaten the monarchy's future. In an effort to get her as far away from London as possible, and at the same time, hoping to prevent Australia from leaving the Commonwealth, Georgie’s parents send her off to Australia to become their Queen, along with her new staff — Director of Communications Zoe, Private Secretary Bernard, Head of Security Officer Marc, Personal Assistant Matthew, Lady In Waiting Anabel, and Master of the Household Weiwei.

A welcome reception is Georgie’s first public appearance in Australia — where an offensive faux pas from the jetlagged new Queen makes the night go from bad to worse.

When word gets out that Georgie has been sleeping with one of her staff, she fixes the problem by firing her boytoy. While an extremely unflattering portrait of the Queen on a new $5 note has the staff plunged into damage control mode. Hoping to alleviate her constant and ruthless coverage on Steele News, Georgie attempts to charm media magnate Richard Steele by inviting him to go hunting — where things take a bloody turn.

After running into her old school bully, Jessica, at the opening of a new maternity ward, Georgie decides to host a dinner party for her in the hopes that she can revel in Jessica’s life struggles since they last met. Unfortunately for Georgie, it turns out that Jessica’s life has been a charmed one. As tensions rise, Georgie is forced to confront old grudges and the night turns disastrous.
