The Orange Organics recording session in Japan is a failure. The gang must decide on their future as a band. The Wall family looks to cure Supes of a new obsession.

The Orange Organics need to soundproof their practice location in Orfo's garage. Bazza's little brother Jimmy leaves a live grenade at the Walls. Stringbean lands the band a regular summer gig at the surfclub but Pugwall and Orfo's attempts to "zap up" their image ends in disaster.

On the school excursion to Old Melbourne Gaol, Pugwall finds the band's new recording engineer and accepts Con and Wazza's challenge to spend the night in a cemetary. Pugwall's bike is stolen and Marmaloid finds it in pieces — and returns it at a price.

He decides to let Hughsey install a phone in his bedroom — but fails to recognise the ills of modern communications. Marmaloid wants to sing with the Organics but must settle for starting a singing fan club with her friends.

Pugwall's never-ending quest for money sees him become an artists' model. Supes and Herohead go to the country for the weekend leaving Pugwall and Marmaloid in charge of the family home. Pugwall agrees to babysit a friend's infant which requires him to sing constantly to keep the baby quiet.

Dr Pongerto's nephew Basil wants to become the band's new manager and organises a well-paying gig. Bazza spot in the band is in doubt when he must choose between a vacation to Bali and playing with the band. Bazza moves into the Wall's home and becomes an immediate hit with Marmaloid and her girlfriends.
