Jasmina discovers a secret Australia will do anything to hide, while embarrassing audio is leaked of the American President that further damages the US and Australian relationship.

As Kath, Ethan and Rudi find themselves no closer to uncovering the Pine Gap mole, Jasmina’s recent discovery of Boyle’s email correspondence with the Prime Minister has rattled the Australian side of the executive floor. Jasmina is torn — her loyalty to Australia is strong but so is her desire to make her growing relationship with Gus one free of secrets.

Deciding to commit to Gus, she comes clean and tells him that Boyle’s email reveals Australia is seriously considering a Treaty of Neutrality with China. The fact that Lwin had seen this explosive email suggests there were bigger powers at work with the downing of Flight BM-24, and throws Australia and China straight in the spotlight as those who have the most to lose had Lwin survived to break the story. Knowing all of this throws Gus into a difficult position too...should he tell Ethan — and, by proxy, the U.S. — what he knows? Or should he remain loyal to Jasmina, and keep Australia’s secret?

Meanwhile, the rest of A-Crew are grappling with personal issues and with leaked audio of the President ranting against the Australian Prime Minister going viral, the relationship between the US and Australia is at an all-time low. On the Ops Floor, the USS Bartlet inches closer to the much contested Nine Dash Line in the South China Sea, while six Chinese nuclear submarines travel to meet the warship head on, in a political chess play where one wrong move, one misinterpreted signal, could prove catastrophic for global stability…
