After her mother's death and a run of bad luck, 16-year-old Julia is desperate to leave Germany and visit her aunt Tori who cares for troubled teens on a farm called Outriders in Australia. A thief hides an ornamental dragon inside Julia's bag when he is caught by the police. Reggie welcomes another new arrival to Outriders, Vince.
