But in the midst of this emergency, Cheryl and Loretta discover something of greater magnitude: Pascalle has yet to have sex with her husband. The reason? He has such high blood pressure, Pascalle fears she could kill him with her body. Loretta is keen to encourage conjugal relations if it means Pascalle will end up as a rich widow. Wolf, however, suspects that Milt is some kind of conman.

Everyone is down on Loretta, the pet killer, as Cheryl puts her back out, and Pascalle gets the horror news that her show has been canned. Wolf has problems of his own: work on Jorgensen Ave is stalled because Sparky is a mess. Pascalle is sympathetic to Sparky, but has bigger problems, like caring for a difficult patient and a baby with a lack of painkillers and groceries. She dispenses brisk wisdom to Sparky, as Wolf arrives to get him back on the job. In this he fails, but he finds Cheryl is flat on her back, and Pascalle over-burdened. Cheryl and Pascalle spurn his offers of assistance, but Wolf sees a golden opportunity to get back in...
