Danny is upset when Ron makes Noel Bullerton a member of the task force on Jane's reccomendation. Jane and Danny are forced to put their differences aside when they take their girls on weekend away. The weekend takes a tragic turn when Jane responds to a distress call only to watch as a woman drowns after her boat sinks after capsizing. The recovery of the boat leads to a surprising discovery leading the Roughies to a poaching operation.

Meanwhile, the task force investigates a bent Fisheries officer and take advantage of a battle between Ron and the accountants. Donna is crushed by the results of her fertility tests.
