Marshall Law: articles

Making Marshalls

Cameras are finally rolling for a new TV series… in Melbourne.

After more than two years' planning, the Seven Network's much-anticipated new drama series Marshall Law is finally being filmed in and around Melbourne.  And the Sunday Herald Sun has secured the first sneak photos from the series as the cameras rolled in the city's legal precinct.

Marshall Law stars TV sweet-heart and multi-Logie winner Lisa McCune, former Frontline favourite Alison Whyte and heart-throb William McInnes in the lead roles. It marks McCune's first regular TV role since her dramatic departure from Blue Heelers in February 2000.  The series (formerly known as Leather and Silk) covers the private and professional lives of two young lawyers, the Marshall sisters, Ros (McCune) and Verity (Whyte), pictured right, and their friends and lovers.  It is set against the backdrop of Melbourne Magistrates' Court.  McCune's character, Ros, is a junior crown prosecutor with an appetite for love and life. Whyte's character, Verity, who was originally to be played by Kerry Armstrong, is beginning to make her mark at the fiercely competitive Bar.  McInnes plays Whyte's former husband, Dylan Boyd, eminent counsel (pictured above with McCune).

It is understood the show will make it to our screens later this year.
