Love My Way star marries

Love My Way star Asher Keddie has wed theatre actor Jay Bowen in a mid-week, sunset ceremony at the Prince Deck in St Kilda, Victoria.

The couple, whose relationship began two years ago while working in theatre production Cyrano de Bergerac, tied the knot in front of 110 family members and close friends yesterday.

Keddie is best-known for portraying the neurotic character of Julia Jackson in the critically acclaimed drama series Love My Way.

She looked stunning in a fine french opaque silk voile bias gown embroidered in fine silver bullion thread created by Melbourne designers Jacob Luppino and Anthony Pittorino.

Bowen looked equally dashing in a black Armani suit complete with white shirt and black silk tie.

While Keddie's Love My Way co-star Claudia Karvan was unable to attend, castmates Dan Wyllie and Brendan Cowell together with his girlfriend Rose Byrne were among the guests.

Australian actors Tom Long, John Wood and Ditch Davey also attended.

Wyllie, a close friend of the couple, gave the only speech of the night, while comic and acting duo Gerry Connolly and Michael Carman shared the master of ceremonies duties.

Keddie and Bowen will make their theatre debut together as husband and wife in the world premiere of Hannie Rayson's new play, The Glass Soldier in August 2007.
