Brisbane-born actor and H2O: Just Add Water star Claire Holt impressing Hollywood with her talent

THINGS are heating up in Hollywood for Brisbane actress Claire Holt.

The former H20: Just Add Water actor had a great 2011 with recurring roles in two US series - Pretty Little Liars and The Vampire Diaries, as well as a role on TV movie Mean Girls 2.

Confidential can reveal that producers have been so impressed with her work on The Vampire Diaries they've signed her up for next season.

Already Holt has established a solid Hollywood resume, scoring a role in Sam Raimi's thriller Messenger 2.

Holt, who went to Stuartholme School, was last year named by influential US magazine Nylon in its "stars of tomorrow" list alongside the likes of Emma Roberts and Rory Culkin, (the younger brother of Macaulay).

Last year she shared an apartment in West Hollywood with her H20 co-star Phoebe Tonkin.
