All Saints: articles

Georgie's new role

SHE'S the golden girl of Australian television. But veteran screen and stage actor Georgie Parker has more on her mind these days than pursuing fame.

As well as starring in the hit show All Saints, Parker, who this year won a gold Logie for most popular personality, said she was focusing on being a mother to one-year-old Holly.

She has hired two nannies to help her cope with her hectic work schedule and being a mother.

"I have learned to delegate well," she said.

Parker said she was enjoying the challenge of juggling both, but is not yet sure whether to have another baby.

"No, oh, God… no, not yet, but then again…

"I am 37 at the end of the year, so I don't know.

"But if I only have Holly, I am very lucky that I have a healthy child. I don't take that for granted."

And she said she'd like to find a Helen Mirren-style role in a telemovie or a one-off series.

"I adore Helen Mirren, I think she's astonishing. And a strong, sexy woman to boot."
